Wednesday evening tea, well worth the drive, had the lamb chops which were delicious, well cooked and fresh. Husbands chilli chicken was also well received. No fuss but good, honest good well cooked and very reasonably priced!

Amazing homemade Sunday lunch, definitely worth a visit. Very welcoming staff, Accommodated a large party including children, nothing was too much trouble. We all loved Archie, the children enjoyed playing football with him. Thank you.

We had dinner here on Enjoyed the pies which were crammed full of meat (steak and kidney, steak and ale). Friendly helpful staff. Highlight of our meal was the treacle sponge and custard which was delicious. Good views of open countryside from the rear...of the property. Would happily go back just for the pudding!

Been times now , had Sunday lunch , and evening meals and we would highly recommend this restaurant . Whilst having my new kitchen fitted, I have been here for takeaway on a Sunday lunchtime a number of times. Mince and dumplings are phenomenal. HUGE cheese and leek dumpling with a huge portion of veg. VERY filling. Highly recommend this place. My mam has...had the beef sunday lunch and enjoyed it as much as I did. We ordered two courses ,.prawn cocktail and roast beef. The prawns were small but overall they were satisfactory . The roast beef was more like meat that had been braised in a slow cooker or pressure cooker, definitely not roasted in the oven, tasty ,...but prefer meat roasted. The staff work hard, but on two occasions we saw two members of staff coming out of the kitchen with their mouths full and chewing, not professional at all

We were driving past the Horse Shoes last night and never having been in before we decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did. The food was exceptional. My vegetable curry was a vegitarians delight and hubby's sizzling chicken was.. out of this world Big thumbs up to the chef. In fact all the staff deserve an accolade, they were so efficient and friendly and made us feel safe and welcome. We will be back and will certainly recommend to our family and friends. Thank you

Where do I begin, booking for twelve but not being allowed in the place till twelve, isn't very warming, the customer should be felt welcome and greeted not made to sit in a car. At first glance the conservatory was nice... however the plastic table...cloth full of rips and slices, isn't very pretty. I had the pork loin as I refuse to eat overcooked beef and just from the feel of the place I had a feeling it would be overcooked, so played it safe with the pork. Thankfully there was no allergies as the front of house had no intention of finding out if anyone had any... nearly this is a BIG issue.
