"Went to Cafe Tosca recently for lunch before going to watch the local football team in Ballymena and to be honest it was ok but I think improvements could be made to make it a bit better. First off the cafe is uniquely decorated with...an interior consisting of white walls and lots of pink chairs, so if you like pink this is the place to go. The Cornation Chicken, Pineapple Cheese toastie was very nice but I do feel a bit cheated as the side salad is very minimal considering your paying around £5 for only a sandwich and salad. I also think the cafe could look at what other cafes are doing by adding Tortilla Chips or even a big spoonful of Couscous. Overall it is around average for me but with a few more improvements I would consider it much better."

"As a family we have dined in and taken take season numerous occass ions and always without fail been extremely satisfied with the quality of food, attention to the customer and lovely atmosphere. This restaurant is the best in Co. Antrim if not N. Ireland. And not to be beaten in Dublin or Galway in our experience. Thanks for your lovely meals and please continue as you are doing everything so well."

"This review is for Rococo Ballymena. Hadn 't been here for quite a while, but was given a voucher. So popped in for lunch. Table was dirty, food gathered between glass top and wood. Then we noticed the dirty windows(on inside), also pieces of food on windowsill. Ordered the breaded mushrooms as a starter. I was happily chewing away when I noticed a large black hair smudged in to the garlic mayo when I pushed over a mushroom. Totally put me off. Staff apologised but considering we had a voucher I attempted to eat the main but was put off by my experience with the hair. The barman said he had a good idea who it belonged to,...the person who did the prepping . He was very sincere and apologetic. But we will never be back, which is a shame as we have always loved this place."

"Just took a delivery of a Sals Kiev with chips and garlic bread. We asked for the garlic bread to be crispy (as it always should be) and the receptionist said no problem. What we got was disgusting. The pizza was cold, the chips were frozen fries and the garlic bread was a finger roll with garlic butter in the middle awful (and cold). The pizza dough was also under cooked which I would have thought is almost impossible. We called back to register our concerns and the receptionist was less than helpful. She basically didn't give a c**p. Some customer service. The strange thing is we were not asking for out money back we were just giving feedback but she didn't care. This is only my 2nd tripadvisor review ever and I hope the Big Als owner sees this and takes some action. We asked the receptionist to pass our concerns on to the manager but I seriously doubt that he was informed. Maybe a change of staff would be in order. The sad thing is Big Als 20 years ago was really good. Obviously standards have dropped. We will never order from Big Als again. Just a pity we don't have any decent take outs in Ballymena."

"Dissapointing I have eaten there many times before and would rate it as average. Food drinks: Worst meal I have had in a long time ! Quality and presentation was poor. For entree we had breaded garlic mushrooms and deep fried brie which was fried within an inch their life ! For mains I had Salt Chilli chicken and was supposed to come with stir fry veg and chips ..chicken came in a bowl and a huge helping of prawn crackers !???! And no veg , My partner had surf and turf and it literally came with a small piece of steak and a chicken fillet on top of it and no sauce or veg with a plate of chips which was supposed to be garlic potatoes ‍ The reason they had a wedding ‍ so looks like they can’t service the restaurant and a wedding at the same time . Won’t be rushing back. In fairness they apologised and didn’t charge for the main meal. Staff were friendly. In my opinion they lack good management , and the chef should have been embarrassed to send those meals out to guest ! Noteworthy details: If you are wanting low key night with some music and drinks on a Saturday night it’s ok but eat somewhere else first ."
