"I wanted to give an honest review, we took my Nan out for lunch here after seeing on my website they catered for vegan diets too. Firstly we had to pay for our meals upfront which was weird in case there were to be any issues with food. I ordered the vegan burger which I ask if it was definitely all vegan after a Lot of places claim something is when it’s in fact only veggie) and was told the bun would not be vegan?? This shouldn’t of been advertised as vegan due to allergies. I ended up having the burger in bread, I didn’t think the meal was at all worth the amount paid for it which seemed quite steep, as well for the other meals ordered). And then found blue roll in my salad which I mentioned at the end was not a complaint) however I do think for this that something should of been subsidised or similar. The menu has great promise and a large selection which is great but for me as someone who eats vegan and has a dairy intolerance I wouldn’t go back due to the potential mishap of things being labelled vegan when they might not actually be. Sorry for the negativity : I did have a lovely oat latte"

I only wanted a coffee, but after waiting for 15 minutes and seeing customers who arrived after me being served before me, I decided to leave. I am avoiding places with poor service these days, so I will not be returning.

Had lunch there today and everything was absolutely first class. The staff very attentive and knowledgeable. As vegetarians we sometime struggle, but definitely not so today. They have the best vegetarian AND vegan menu that we have ever found. Just a shame we live 60 miles away or we would visit more often. Thank to everyone.

One piece of cheesecake and a piece of treacle tart to take away £8.50. Someone is making a fortune. The treacle tart was not as good as normal and my husband said the cheesecake was unpleasant tasting and it ended up in the bin. We will not return. There are plenty of nice cakes in shops so no need to pay these exorbitant prices for mediocre products

I've always loved this restaurant. The food choices are second to none especially being a vegetarian and the amount of homemade desserts/cakes to choose from is amazing. Very welcoming and friendly staff and owners. Will be a shame when they move elsewhere, but I for one will be following the owners/chef . In my opinion there is no one to beat them. Thank you Diane, Elizabeth and team Voir le carte

Visited with friends for lunch. Meal was OK,but received no milk with hot drinks. Went to ask for some, staff didn't speak, seemed quite disgruntled about it. Lots of tables were not cleared during our time there, including ours. Cakes very over priced,so didn't purchase. £3.99 for a small brownie,£2.99 for a small egg custard. Won't be rushing back. Think they need to employ more staff at lunchtime.

We were looking for somewhere to break our journey up the A15 and have lunch. We made a detour to Kirton in Lindsey hoping to find a pub or cafe. We spotted that this Garden Centre on the outskirts of town had a cafe and stopped by on spec. We were quickly shown to a table in the busy restaurant and supplied with drinks. I chose a crab sandwich and my husband a hot pork baguette both served with chips and salad. Food arrived quickly and was very well cooked and presented. We enjoyed our meal and were soon back on the road. We’ll remember this for future journeys! If you’re travelling with children there is a separate cafe with a bouncy castle aimed at families.

While waiting, my dining partner and I decided to share a cheese and chutney sandwich, a portion of chips, and we also ordered a slice of triple chocolate and banoffee cake, along with an iced latte and a coke. The sandwich came with crisps and salad on doorstep bread and was presented beautifully. The chips were delicious. However, the cakes were a bit disappointing. Priced at £4.49 per slice, they were dry and small, in my opinion, overpriced. The staff were friendly and polite. The total bill of £24.60 for a sandwich, portion of chips, two slices of cake, and two drinks was on the expensive side, but it is common for garden centers to be more pricey. I would consider visiting again. Voir le carte

My husband and I went to The Terrace for lunch on Saturday 12th November. We were seated at a table and a young woman took our order for sandwiches. We were informed that there would be a wait for the baguettes, and when they arrived, they were just okay and not very impressive. The main issue was the strong unpleasant odor coming from the plastic tablecloth, which smelt dirty as though it had not been cleaned properly. This was a first for me at The Terrace. The cups and plates also had a stench of a dirty dishwasher. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience and will not be returning. The high standards that I have previously experienced at The Terrace were not upheld on this...

Arrived a little late, 14. 45,so we missed the 14.30 hot meal cut off, but had 15 minutes, we both ordered a magnificent seafood Platter salad, one with chips, one with boiled potatoes, both with a warm brown roll, the seafood being Crab, Shrimp, Tuna and salmon, like a super deluxe version of the Mkt. Rasen Aston Arms Trawler man 's haul no longer on the menu but served on request! See the photo, a lovely fresh collation, a choice of salads and sauces. Service, prompt and friendly, no faulting that, surroundings and company agreeable. Only 12miles from Gainsborough, just off the A15, beautiful countryside around. Tea served in a silver teapot, a good blend, whats not to like? Thanks again,...

"Awful meal and even worse service. A place where the customer is always wrong! Cold food, undercooked naan breads (which were not eaten), tomato sauce rather than Indian curry with no spice or tasty, and a shortage of meat for a dish being charged at £14-16 per curry (without any extras). When this was brought to the attention of the lady front of house, she wanted to argue that the food wasn’t cold and the two naan bread were cooked. Shouting at us in front of her other paying customers. However neither naan bread had even a slice out of them, may as well have been raw dough. When you can see your fingerprint in the naan, you know it’s undercooked. She said that’s how they come. However we have eaten there a few times before so this wasn’t the case! No service, or at best slow service from start to end. And nobody came to check how our food was, (now I guess we know why) so my partner went to say something. We visited here after having a nice meal the last time but after the disgusting way the staff spoke to us, the terrible food and total lack of service, means that we will never come back. Never been spoken to like this from someone who is supposed to be employed for customer service, or at least supposed to try and make the customer happy. Being locals, she will lose out on the next 30 years of being our chosen local Indian and would rather go to Mumbai Lounge. Make sure you go somewhere else other than this place! Horrendous food and horrible service. Don’t visit Bengal Spice."
