Super friendly staff and the pub is lovely. The food was really good to and came quickly even though it was a saturday night.

Delicious food, friendly and kind staff members. Definitely will be back soon. Beautiful old traditional place with lovely garden.

Have been here many times, really nice staff, very helpful (often have a coeliac and a vegan with us), very adaptable. Food great and nice environment inside and out.

I absolutely adore this inn! Everyone is so friendly and the staff are happy to accommodate any request, whether it's just for a coffee or a drink with friends, or even a meal if desired.

I had a lovely meal here with my sister on a Monday evening after visiting Highclere castle. Plenty of parking. Staff are friendly, good menu and portion sizes. Food was superb and definitely recommend a visit!

We had friends from NZ staying and they wanted to sample a traditional pub with character. The Swan and its staff were excellent. Warm welcome, fast and efficient service, and well cooked and presented meals. Our friends were still talking about their pub visit when we dropped them off at the airport the next day. Went on a Sunday for a roast and was very happy with the roast. I got the triple roast with everything which was very well priced. The only little thing about the roast was the chicken was a little dry. We also decided to try the special cookie dough. It was very tasty but not cookie dough as it was overcooked and basically more of a biscuit. Overall great service, lovely place and would still probably go back.

The food was delicious and the dessert was exceptional. The table service provided by the friendly ladies was great. Unfortunately, I have to deduct two stars for the somewhat patronizing behavior of the man taking bookings and serving behind the bar, who I believe to be the owner or manager. I have been coming to this restaurant since 1978, but I will not be returning until he is no longer there. I prefer to spend my money at a place where I am treated with respect.

After visiting Highclere Castle, we decided to have Sunday dinner at this pub. The staff was friendly, and we were seated quickly. However, when our meals arrived, they were cold and unappetizing. The roast chicken dinner was dry and the vegetables were cold. When we complained, the meals were reheated but still not satisfactory. The manager was unhelpful and defended the quality of the food, despite our negative experience. We will not be returning to this pub and recommend avoiding it due to the poor food quality and management.
