Really amazed at how good the cheese and hand carved ham platter and the chicken selection platter was. Staff were great

Nice situation but, the cook was incapable of copping with a small request on how to cook the food to suit the customers preference.

Our first visit to Swallowtail and we weren’t in any way disappointed. Fantastic service from friendly, welcoming staff and amazing food, cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back! We had starters, mains and desserts and couldn’t fault any of them, especially the steaks and lovely...

We'd heard good reviews so thought we'd give it a go. Food was very poor cold plates and therefore cold food. Sent one plate of food back and came back out with hotter chips put on top of same cold plate. Asked for a wine list and was told they don't have one but they had white, red and rose REALLY. Last menu was far more extensive and not so reliable on Brake Bros. This was a Saturday night and they weren't busy never again until it changes ownership yet again !!

I organised a party at Swallowtails in Feb for July , in ibetween it was taken over by new managers , I was very worried what it would be like but all I can say is that it was well organised from start to finish , I was allowed to come in and decorate in the morning ,exactly how I wanted it , they were friendly and efficient , the room looked amazing , the buffet food was plentiful and tasty and the bar staff were all efficient, with the view over the marina , couldn’t have wished for a better place to have a party

The setting is lovely overlooking the Marina, and you can sit outside on the balcony, which is so nice after a hot day. The service is lacking, unfortunately. we ordered a round of drinks and waited ages to be told they had forgotten to put it through. When ordering food, the lady was okay, not particularly friendly, and doesn't smile.. our food took such a long time (half an hour or so , the restaurant/bar wasn't busy) to come and was good , standard menu. Bar staff stand round and look bored . Bit of a shame as could be great given the location.

I have visited here a few times now and it never fails to disappoint. It is a lovely place to solely have a drink, overlooking the Marina. The food is also excellent with a wide range on the menu to choose from to suit all. Substantial portion sizes and all cooked really well. It’s a nice open plan restaurant where it looks over the marina, you can either sit inside or on the balcony. The staff are friendly; when we last visited the service could have been a little speedier, however it was very busy. It’s a perfect place for a planned meal or a stop off during a dog walk in the area.

Met a few friends for breakfast waited at the door way to be seated was waiting for around 5 minutes then we asked if it was ok to sit down so first off I was thinking this is a poor sign,Ladie took our drinks order 1 tea 1 coffee and a latte Ladies comes over 1 pot of tea 2 cups and 1 decaf coffee Goes to walk off so we say excuse me we order a latte her response our coffee machine doesn’t work!Well I hope my friend likes teaAt this point I was thinking shall we just pay for the drinks and go but we ended up staying regrettablyOrder a big breakfast Eggs were super greasy about a spoonful of beans on the plate mushroom just taste of oil sausages just reheated Bacon looked like it was raw,Tab...
