I only had beer and crisps this time, but I've enjoyed some delicious meals here in the past. It was delightful to be inside next to a crackling fire. The bar staff were incredibly helpful. Overall, I would rate the service and atmosphere both as 5 out of 5.

We took our two German Teachers, in charge of our latest Erasmus+ students in Brighton out for a drink in a typical English Village. The welcome was incredible just like being in rural Ireland. The landlady overheard Petra, one of the teachers, asking which of the two locally brewed beers was better, she walked over with 2 sample glasses and said Petra, taste then first the whole evening we were made to feel welcome, and for this Cologne area school, Stenning ins now the map of places to visit when in Brighton

We had a long day of traveling, but when we arrived at 8 o'clock, we were warmly welcomed with our group of six and two dogs. The staff was cheerful and accommodating, allowing us to order food despite our late arrival. The meal was incredible, and they even took photos for us to capture the moment. Even though we had just lost a member of our party, they still went out of their way to treat us to dessert, which was a lovely gesture.
