"Was able to sit outside the pub on a bench and was served by staff from there. COVID restrictions and PPE in place and the smell of the Sunday roasts serving from the pub were mouth watering. Really friendly staff and helped accommodate us as we only wanted drinks as we were in the middle of a walk from the Down link. ????????"

"I've been planning a visit for a long time, on Friday for lunch. the sunshine was outside and they had reserved us a table outside if we wanted what was a nice note. I didn't get the names of the brunette lady who welcomed us, but she was warm and attentive. our waiter donall was so beautiful and chatting, which is always beautiful. I appreciated his tips where I can find the magnificent sussex rose that I treated myself and gave me a birthday shield with truffles that was such a kind. the truffles were delicious!. I had the sea bream and it was divine. my friend had the Speck-Cop, again phenomenal. I can't wait to return."

"Since my last visit before lockdown they have changed from ordering at the bar to ordering at the table. I think it is more sophisticated to be waited on from start to finish, not that there are any pretentions here at the Fox. The atmosphere is always very friendly between customers and the whole evening felt like we were regulars. I had chosen The Fox for dinner with a friend and the menu was as tempting as ever with a wide selection of Specials , but my recommendation was the The Homemade Sussex Smokie 'Au Gratin ', being a local dish. We both ordered and it came beautifully presented by the charming young waitress. I had intended to prioritize the Smokie to leave room for dessert. I failed and we both cleared our plates. We had decided to share one dessert but were spoiled by a delicious choice. Our decision was to return very soon and we decided on Summer Fruits Pavlova. Words fail me: it was unbelievable! If I were forced to make any criticism, it is that the closing time is too early but with the current economic situation, nowhere can afford to stay open on the off-chance that people will continue drink and eat. I will be returning very soon. The only reason for my long absence is I hadn 't noticed that my social life had been dormant since lockdown. An evening at the Fox is a great reminder of what I have been missing. Many thanks to all the staff for a fabulous evening."

"Having never visited the plough before we were looking for a pub within easy reach for all our family Service friendly and attentive directly to the table A full standard menu was supplied and specials were listed separately on a board....as it was Sunday our group opted for the Sunday roasts....chicken beef and lam to name a few! Deserts were also listed on the main standard menu with daily specials also listed separately too Lovely afternoon and meal Vegetables were supplied separately on another plate for the table to share Thank you guys for making our afternoon and for serving a delicious meal Credit where credit is due"

"It is one of the hidden little gems of the whole Sussex. Located in a very quiet yet beautiful and charming forest, Glass House is one of the must see places.
