The most beautiful country pub with the most delicious menu and service to accompany it! Sara aka Mum was so lovely with our little girl whose birthday it was we cannot wait to return

Just had a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Star at Cotton. Fantastic food, great value, combined with friendly professional staff in a beautiful setting. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

10/10 the food was unreal. Cannot recommend this place enough. We were staying at Alton Towers and headed here for some tea and it did not disappoint. I had the chicken, bacon and leek pie and it was delicious! Cosy country pub, staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would travel to come here again.

A group of seven friends celebrating a big birthday on a Sunday lunch time. Even though the place was full of diners, who were just there for lunch or there for celebrations, the service was excellent, the staff attentive and the food delicious. Great choice of food for all diners, including GF. Good choice of non-alcoholic beers too. The staff made our birthday girl feel very special.

During our stay at the campsite near the Star pub, we dined there twice and were thoroughly impressed. The staff were exceptional, providing friendly and attentive service. The food was incredibly delicious, showcasing the chef's talent in creating a diverse menu of delectable dishes. The drinks selection was extensive, with great guest ales available. We highly recommend a visit to this pub and will definitely be returning.

What a gorgeous pub! Lovely atmosphere and the food was to die for! We couldn’t decide what to eat but as soon as we saw the people next to us eating a pie we couldn’t resist! Honestly the best food we’ve eaten for a long time. Fantastic customer service with really friendly staff who all seemed to be smiling and talking to customers. Great selection of beers also. Would absolutely recommend coming here for a meal if you are in the area. Will definitely be returning!

I stumbled upon a delightful restaurant with amazing staff who were friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding, with generous portions made from the best ingredients. I couldn't resist trying some of my husband's fish and chips, and my own buttermilk honey chicken was delicious. The Chinese sharing board at the next table caught my eye, and I wish I had ordered it. I also enjoyed a delicious berry cocktail. I highly recommend this restaurant and suggest making a reservation in advance.

We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant while staying in a cottage close by, we could not have been made more welcome by such a friendly lady called Erin. Our dinner was beautiful so we decided to make reservations for the following night again, and after a long day in Alton towers we looked forward to dinner and we once again had another amazing meal!! We decided that we would book a table for our last night In Alton also. Three wonderful evenings for our family of 5 with lots of selection on the menu. The staff were very attentive and the food incredible would highly recommend.

We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation, and although our table wasn't ready, we were seated near the bar and given menus. Unfortunately, many of the items we wanted were not available. After a bit of a wait, we ordered our drinks and were finally seated at around 7:35pm. Our starters took a while to arrive, and by the time they did, we were quite hungry as we hadn't eaten since noon in anticipation of our meal. Our order got lost, but the waitress apologized and the food finally arrived at 8:40pm. The portions were smaller than expected, but the food was tasty.
