Lovely friendly pub. Parked car there and went for nice circular walk then ended with sandwich lunch, which was great value. Thick ham, chips and salad, £4.95.

Went there for cream tea for my sister's birthday had a great time, cream tea was excellent.Staff make you very welcome and they make time to have a laugh and a joke

Had a meal last night and it was superb. Cannot fault a single thing. Friendly and helpful staff. Spoke to cook and praised him on the food he prepared. Highly recommended.

yesterday, this beautiful traditional family pub visited for the first time. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive and that eating was boiled at home, well presented and delicious. we will be back for more

Just wanted to say our Christmas Evening meal was lovely and the little details made it even better. This all along with all the other great times in The Ship in 2016. Looking forward to the friendly service and fab food in 2017. :D
