"It was a beautiful day and we took a last minute decision to find a spot for lunch, this was the only Restaurant we found locally that had availability. The only slight criticism was the time taken to deliver the food on the table, but as we were not in a hurry it didn 't matter too much, however what arrived was of exceptional quality for Pub Grub and well beyond normal expectations. Reasonably priced options were available and desert to die for. We couldn 't not fault the food in any way shape or form and could compare favourably to some London Restaurant 's we have eaten in. Well done to all at the Ship we shall return for sure."

First visit in a long time, lovely atmosphere, staff were very attentive, lighting at first (upstairs) was rather low but once main light was on this was much better, although did alter the ambiance !

Great Sunday lunch , we enjoyed the salt and pepper squid to start with the pitta and red pepper houmus, the roast beef was cooked perfectly and the portion size overall was just right. Served with a small pan of cauliflower cheese.

Our first visit to the Ship and we were not disappointed.The pub has a lovely feel which you notice as soon as you walk in.The open fire added to the overall feel.We went with friends and everyone said they would return for another meal.The main event,”The Food” was outstanding!

Starters: The red pepper hummus was tasteless, not very nice at all. The white bait my partner had was excellent. Mains: my squid was ok some of the squid was over cooked and a bit chewy unfortunately, the fat chips excellent! My partners skate chowder wasn't very exciting, a little bland. Sweet: I had a beautiful honeycomb ice cream, excellent. Service: was brilliant, very attentive and helpful.

My daughter lives in Sittingbourne, we live near Dover. Just before Christmas, usually the Sunday before we have a get together and present exchange. This year was slightly different as we now have a little dog. My daughter chose the venue as it was dog friendly .... it was: our dogs behaved it was ours first Christmas so we were slightly worried ... we needn’ Have been! Food was lovely and we all enjoyed it very much ... it will definitely be on the short list for next year and probably some other times during the year .... thanks to all the staff for making it so ... 4 happy customers, 2 happy dogs.
