This pub is lovely, and the staff is fantastic—very friendly and welcoming to dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed my vegan wellington; it was incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked. There are only two vegan options available, but I’m not complaining. I hope they add more choices soon!

My experience was unexpected - caught in the rain, I sought shelter in the first place I saw. On our way to see the nearby castle and bird island, we decided to wait out the storm by ordering a bite to eat. We noticed that everyone around us had a plate of delicious-looking fish on their table.

Although it’s not a vegan restaurant, the staff was knowledgeable and pointed out the three vegan options available the night we dined there. For my main course, I chose a dish from the menu: the Mediterranean tart. It was bursting with flavor and had a wonderful texture—truly delicious! As an appetizer, I had olives and bread, and the staff promptly replaced the butter with oil and vinegar without any need for me to ask. I was very impressed by the quality of the food and the service. We will definitely visit again next time we’re in the area.

Here is a great place to stop and eat when you are in North Berwick, a must-visit location on the Scottish coast. This small traditional pub is located next to the tourist office and across from the public restroom (which you can use!).
