we had a very nice meal in the ship. I never had a better steak. I always liked the ales. it's a shame they run out of real ales fast, but that happens when they're good, I suppose!

Turned up to our booking on boxing day for a family meal to be told ‘we’re not going to do food today, here’s the bar snacks menu’. They could of rang the only two people who’d made reservations.

The food and pub were very nice, only real issue was when we got there they said they hadn't received our booking through the online system so had to wait while they arranged a table for us. I had received emails and text confirmation Voir le carte

It was Tuesday lunchtime, so it was fairly quiet. Three of us chose from the light bites which was very nice, more than enough for lunchtime. Real ale was in good condition. The one member of staff on duty was pleasant and helpful. All in all very good and will return in the future.

Met by the friendly bar staff on arrival. Service was prompt and efficient without being in your face. The food came in good time after ordering all freshly cooked and tasted great. My steak was cooked perfectly. Prices were all very reasonable as well. We live over 100 miles away but will certainly be back when we visit relatives again.

I am glad to say that it has a great improvement in this pub and has a wonderful atmosphere and beautiful new facility. I myself, my partner and his family have visited two times for Sunday dinners since the new management and were delighted by the kitchen, the wonderful friendly staff and the service as a whole. the black bell on Sunday afternoon is to die and cheap.
