"Visited on Wednesday, few people there when we arrived and it quickly filled up. Good atmosphere. Service was good and allowed lots of time between courses. Fod was impressive. My starter of goats cheese and mushroom was lovely and my partner had the super sized pigs in blanket with a mustard sauce. Two good sized Cumberland Sausages wrapped in bacon which was part of the Christmas menu. Partner thought they were really tasty. For main I had the half rack of ribs, skinny fries, coleslaw and chicken coated in a KFCesque batter all of which were delicious. Partner had a cheeseburger and chunky chips which was excellent. The owners also own the Rose and Castle which is equally as good. Prices are reasonable, thoroughly recommend. Had a very enjoyable evening."

The Sunday roast is very tasty and have locally sourced ingredients. Had roast beef yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings. Definitely worth the visit

Great meal had small Turkey roast dinner just the right amount very reasonable price followed by Xmas pud and cream all very delicious Lovely atmosphere great staff and friendly locals I would highly recommend this place

Booked a table of 12 for a Christmas celebration and had a wonderful time! The staff could not have been more attentive, constantly keeping us topped up with drinks and condiments. Lovely atmosphere, the food was delicious, would definitely return and heartily recommend : Thanks for having us
