Picked up a lovely curry and starters catering for 15 people for my sons 30 th Birthday the food was amazing and I could most definitely recommend everyone commented on how delicious it was

Really friendly staff and tasty curry at a very reasonable price. The naan bread was excellent and all the dishes fresh and lovely without being greasy. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

I have always been a big fan of The Royal Taj but the change of ownership has taken it u a notch. We visited with friends and without prompting declared it the best food in the Ribble Valley. It just a shame more people do not frequent the place. They are missing a treat Voir le carte

Took the wife out (not my wife yet) told her order what you like (just won a bet) she ordered a second popadum #pisstaker…. My curry was fine, hers was top notch, I think I’m in tonight, thanks taj. I don’t have much money, but if I did, I’d buy a big house where we both could live

Really good one tonight. Had the Mixed Shashlik. Expected prawn, chicken and lamb in it but there was no prawn in it. Perhaps a mistake. Tasted great as did daughters chicken tikka massala, the vegetable rice and peshwari naan. Excellent friendly owner or manager who also made a few recommendations for next time.

New to the area and keen to find a great Indian. As a start I think it is a tiny bit pricey for take away (not sure how it compares to restaurant prices). Chicken chat was OK. Onion Bhaji was average. Chilli garlic chicken tikka was very good and the chicken especially good. Garlic naan was a bit soggy. Went to the Taj on a Friday over the Jubilee weekend with a group of five adults and one small child. The staff were attentive and were always on hand for additional drinks orders etc The food was amazing, piping hot and some great flavours. Everything came together as well. Overall price was just right too, five people paid £150 which included wine and beers, five starters and mains and a few sides. Only thing I can fault is the atmosphere. If you are with a big group or the place is busy, you will be fine. However if it’s not so busy there may be less of an atmosphere as there was no background music etc

Ordered a take away from what has always been our favourite Indian restaurant. It took an hour and a half to be delivered, the driver dropped some of the food on the road when delivering it… the box gave way ‍ He promised to return in 10 mins with the popadom dips and two main courses, over 30 mins later he did! Compensation was 5 popadoms when we had already received five, no extra dips, no discount because the food had taken so long to be delivered before the mishaps! Disaster of a take away which was a family night before my son his girlfriend go to Australia for a year! What has happened to the standards at a previously top notch restaurant and take away! Massive disappointment tonight,...

We organised a group booking for 19, we arrived and were seated, two separate tables. We waited for service for our drinks, and had some friendly banter with the waiter as to how the rest of our group pushed in with their drinks order. Our drinks arrive , I asked could he put our drinks on a separate tab, and I would pay for them as they were expensive, no need he said. Our drinks arrived and one of our party ordered a double Vodka in a tall glass lots of DIET coke, she cannot have normal coke. This arrived in a small glass, vodka Diet Coke , a bottle served separately. She asked for a second Diet Coke to dilute and larger glass, glass arrived followed by a readily poured COKE.
