Best breakfast in Southend. The staff are lovely and remember what you order. Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly staff and lovely food. Would recommend the jacket potatoe as was quite big and filling with the cheese and beans. Will be going back for sure

Family of four, 2 couples. Staff very friendly, 3 of us had homemade steak pie (excellent), 1 with chips, 2 with boiled new potatoes, carrots and fesh peas. 1 had lamb chops, tomatoes, chips and peas. Coffees and cold drinks. Reasonably priced. Would recommend. Voir le carte

Took the Mrs for awalk along the sea fron t and popped in to the The Rose was greeted by a great waitress named Jen was offered a table and left alone long enough to settle. When Jen took the order it was with a smile even though she'd been rushed of her feet all day. Food was great services was better will return .

Food was lovely, order was taken quickly and it was served promptly. Staff member was friendly and it is well located on the sea front. Only negative are the toilets, they are up a lot of stairs and the upstairs area looks unused and derelict. Would definitely go back but they could utilise the upstairs space better.

Ordered roast chicken chips peas and tomato.x2 said hold the peas. Food came out roast chicken chips and carrots. Covered in gravy. No tomato. Menu didn't say gravy or carrots. Didn't get a choice. Young lady served us she was extremely polite helpful. Food did come out fast. Didn't kick up a fuss ate what we could paid up and left. Shame about the local drunk that made u feel unwelcome with his foul mouth . If it wasn't for the menu and food being incorrect this would of been a 4 star rating. Voir le carte
