Nice but quiet atmosphere, a good selection of beer and friendly staff. What more could you ask for.

I was so fortunate to have found this pub while we were just taking a walk around town. Lovely people. One of the best local beers I've had. Very tasty Nachos! A must try.

Accom is superb, with service to match. Food is splendid, as is presentation. Last visit, I had roast duck breast, served on dauphine potatoes fresh veg with a wonderful blackberry cooler.

Stopped in for a coupla pints and evening meal. Kitchen takes last orders at 7:45pm on a Wednesday. The Wednesday evening bar maid was very friendly, in fact all the staff were. I had the chicken breast with peppercorn sauce and it was bangin '. (Peng) My mate had the fish and chips which were great though he left the mushy peas, not quite up to the Yorkshire Caviar standard seen elsewhere. Would go again.

We popped into the pub just before we got our train back to Leeds. As we were in a hurry, we asked for something that would be a quick fix with our pint. They suggested nachos and very swiftly had them packed. Great house ale and the yummiest box of takeaway nachos! Thanks for the quick and friendly service and a beautiful pub ambience! Will definitely visit again! Also was much cheaper than we'd anticipated!

Had dinner here 26/4/24 Food really good more like a restaurant than a pub. Shared Nachos then my friend had channa with rice and I had tomato risotto, food fantastic great choices/variety and good price, washed down with a bottle of white wine and a couple of glasses of iced Château La Pompe , delicious! Great to see Vegan and Vegetarian food. Restaurant was full staff friendly. Good, solid drainpipe round back to tether my goat to whilst we ate. Will be back thanks! Voir le carte
