stuck in glossop, was made rewarding, I hate city pubs so only googled eating pubs and amazingly there are loads, so I went out of town, it had good reviews and rich also, great food served by great employees, we would call again.

to stay here recently and it is the perfect location for hiking/hiking around the summit. the room was brilliant and had everything we needed. very spacious and the beds were comfortable. grey has changed my request for a double into a twin. we did not eat here, but we had breakfast and it was enough to set ourselves up for a day of hiking. I will stay again, even if the stairs at the top almost make her legs fall haha

Lovely traditional pub serving a good choice of ales including the locally brewed stuff too. Generally really friendly service with plenty of space inside. And more recently more tables are set up outside too. The main reason we choose this pub is because the food is delightful, classic pub choices but also some interesting options, as well as vegan. Great price for the portion size and quality. A brilliant all around pub!

we've been immersed there on the way to the lake district. there were 11 of us overall, so everyone ordered quite different dishes. we were absolutely amazed at how good it was eating, taking into account that we thought it was just an ordinary English pub. we have tried the dishes each other and each one was great! honestly could not believe it! if I will be back in the opposite, I will definitely visit this place again! highly recommended!

Found this pub by chance as we strolled round Manor Park in Glossop. A little bit away from the town centre so maybe a little quieter than usual but it was also middle of a Monday in October. Still, plenty of people in the pub, several nice local ales to try and the food was delicious! They had a couple of vegan options too, which is great. Portions were a bit belly busting so I only just managed to finish it all! Good price, good value and great beer. Looked like a very picturesque area too. I wish my home village had a pub like this close by! Recommended!

Awful experience here came for some drinks and lunch. Lunch took around an hour to come out and during this we was not informed with why it was taking so long and we also wasn’t apologised to. It did seem like they was not bothered. This is all happened whilst the pub being less than half empty. There was also other people complaining. Food was ok but bland and overcooked. When we went to pay the bill at the end there was no apology from them. My advice is if u can’t handle a service shut the kitchen. Down and don’t do food as it’s clear they are not capable of running a food service.

Awful. We waited 55 minutes for a chicken burger, a fish and chips and 2 starters. They didn’t apologise or give us any updates on why it was taking so long. The place was half empty too so no obvious reason as to why they would take so long. We were seated close to the bar so we could hear how 2 other tables went to complain too. One of them was “lucky” and got a discount as they had been waiting for even longer than us. Once we were finally served we asked if we could have some ketchup and mayo. The waitress forgot about it so we had to once again approach the bar and ask for it. Food was okay. A bit dry.

AVOID! Stayed in Bulls head and booked breakfast at 9am in this place. Turned up in the morning the young grumpy lady said we should be in at 8.30am. Apparently she was not happy us making her work overtime but clearly that’s their own faults in communication with their colleagues from the sister company. Then she kept ignoring us while she was the only servant in the room. In the end we just gave up since it was simply disrespectful and we felt unwelcome by this place. To the little angel If you don’t know how to treat customers with respect and kindness, do everyone a little favour by just quitting the job rather than ruining the reputation of your local business. Certainly don’t recommend...
