Stayed for 1 night and had an evening meal and breakfast here. Room was a deluxe double, clean and spacious and the bath was spectacular. Evening meal 1 steak out of 3 was chewy, staff were extremely friendly and helpful Breakfast couldn’t fault it, really enjoyed Bar very quiet, drinks a bit pricey

The food was all right, can’t say good but not bad. The service was shocking. We had our prawns patatas bravas deducted from the bill because they were unpleasant, over cooked. Too cross to describe the bad service. The young man who brought our food shouldn’t be included in this blanket slating. Nice setting but that’s about it.

This restaurant is amazing! I loved being able to see and order my food at the deli counter. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The tapas starters were perfect for our large group. The only downside was that the wine was a bit disappointing because it couldn't be served at room temperature since it came up from the cellar.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant, where the staff was attentive and polite. Despite being quite busy, there was a slight hiccup with the ordering system that caused a delay in receiving our desserts. However, the waitress handled the situation well and arranged for complimentary coffee with the manager, which we appreciated. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be returning in the future.

This restaurant is a really lovely place with very nice staff, especially the lady at the food bar where you select what you want the chef to cook for you. I liked the concept of going up to the counter to choose what you would like to eat. The only slight negative was that the service was quite slow, not a problem for our small group as we had plenty of time but if you wanted a quick business lunch it could be a problem. Otherwise very nice

This was a nice hotel but in my opinion the changes they have made to the layout and problems we encountered have turned my opinion. On our visit they were having major technical problems with the phone/Internet which caused us issues along side other problems in our room coffee machine, extractor fan not working)which was not acceptable and was reported.But for me the layout change to the bar area has detracted from the character of the building and doesn't work. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food ok but overall it was disappointing.

This hotel has character derived from its architecture, history, and charming backyard. We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Our room, albeit small, was well appointed and cozy. The weather was cool and mild, a bit damp, during our visit. A portable fan was useful for our comfort during our overnight sleep. A staff member was able to promptly fulfill our request for an iron and ironing board. Breakfast each morning was included in our rate, and I especially loved their version of French Toast. Despite dining early in the evening, we were disappointed by the limited selection available at the counter, especially at the fish section. The menu displayed prices per kilo for fish, but the staff informed us that prices were now based on each item, with all vegetables and extras priced separately at £4-£6 each. As it was a special birthday celebration, we decided to order despite not finding our preferred choices. Unfortunately, when the food was served, the chips were dry and tough, and both the onion and leek were overcooked and reheated. We were surprised to be charged £10 for two starters of garlic bread. So disappointing..in hard times for the Hospitality Industry it's hard to give negative comments but I hope this improves things here. Booked to stay at the hotel and used the hotel restaurant to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary. When booking I asked could we have an early check in as our meal was quite early in the evening. We never received any reply, even after sending a second email. We were met by Louis.. very helpful and pleasant he checked if the room was ready but no..so we went for a walk.
