The Port Arms Pub Bed Breakfast

We had the cheeseboard for two which was quite nice but no crackers and only two very small rolls each, when I asked for couple more was told would have to pay!!! Was very disappointed as thought cheeseboard was enough at £20

We had a Mothers Day lunch at The Port Arms. The food is served from a carvery and it was delicious! Everything was well cooked, there were generous portions, a huge choice of vegetables and it was a reasonable price. I was really impressed and will return.

The actual pub is nice with a nice atmosphere and staff are friendly but the food is mediocre at best we found the value for money not great in comparison to the quality of the food. I’m unsure at this stage whether I would return to try a different menu option. Voir le carte

I visited this restaurant for their Sunday carvery, which was priced at £14.95 per person. Overall, the experience was very good. The meat was excellent and the vegetables were a bit al dente, which we enjoyed. The gravy was also great and of very good quality. I would definitely return to this restaurant again.

I had a fantastic time at the open mic night on Thursday. There were some wonderful and entertaining performances featuring a variety of musical styles. I felt privileged to be a part of it. The host was incredibly talented and hilarious. The highlight of the evening was a moving and exceptional session with violin and guitar.

The food was absolutely lovely and bar staff was very friendly, so I’d rate 5 stars for that. But the man serving the carvery was a rude nasty piece of work and it’s put me off coming to this place again which is a shame because the food was delicious. He was cutting and eating the meat with his hands which is very unhygienic. Telling me I’ve put too much on my plate and saying if he had of known I was coming he would have cooked more which has made me even more self conscious. Voir le carte

We tried several years ago and was not impressed. So after looking like they have had a revamp, looks very good , we entered . We WAITED AND WAITED . Eventually a stressed lady came out from the back . I asked for a menu please. WE WAITED AND WAITED yet again ,it may have been her first day perhaps . It seemed like more of a sandwich ,certainly unappetising menu . So with nobody else within we left and went to our favourite and highly recommended The Kings Head opposite . Have tried to refresh what the menu was but the web sites not working either .

Booked this for Sunday lunch during our visit to Deal. We had the Carvery and it was excellent. Tender meat, vegetables excellent, just right seasoning, could not fault it. Not the overcooked presentation you get at others, even parsnips were perfect, crispy on outside and soft inside. Roast spuds to die for. Very pleasant staff, attention to detail and am confident this place will succeed. New owners certainly have got a winning combination, good food, location (right on seafront) plenty of seating inside and out and very good value for money. Would highly recommend.

We ordered the seafood platter and found it to be just okay. My parents traveled for hours to come to Deal and we regretted getting seafood from this restaurant. We know of other places that serve delicious seafood, but unfortunately they were closed around 3pm so we decided to dine here instead. The seafood was all deep fried and likely frozen, we were hoping for a fresher option. The bartender, a young man with blonde hair, had a bit of an attitude. The decor was modern and pleasing. Since moving to Deal, we have tried out several local spots but after this experience, we are unsure if we will return to this restaurant due to the unpleasant attitude we encountered. Voir le carte
