"Came here for a spot of lunch what can I say...... Absolutely amazing, Small cosy pub which sells the most wonderful array of fish dishes plus a few none fish plates. We didn't book so I guess we were lucky has within half an hour the place was full. I recommend a small or no breakfast before you go for lunch the portion sizes are extremely generous. Starters we shared were the salt chili squid and a portion of boquerones which were delicious. Mains we had a Poole arms seafood casserole the smoked haddock pot. Absolutely tasty and fully loaded with fish no scrimping here! Hats off to the chef Excellent choice of beers, wines etc. Friendly attentive staff, beautiful hot tasty food. Shame we live 90 miles away or we would be regulars. Will hopefully be back soon!"

I decided to stop by for lunch and was fortunate enough to snag the last table for two! I ordered fish soup, mushrooms, a fish casserole, and a fish pie.

We had an amazing Meal this Evening, everything was faultless, the Food, the Staff and the Atmosphere. Upon our Return to Poole from North Yorkshire, we will certainly Book a Table.

During my short holiday, I dined here for 2 or 3 nights. My boyfriend really enjoyed the seafood casserole, and the mussels were delicious as well. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere felt very cozy and welcoming.

Great pub with friendly staff and delicious food. I had the scallops as a starter, which were fantastic, and for the main course, I enjoyed the skate and sea bass, both of which were equally impressive. I will definitely return to eat and drink here. Highly recommend it—10/10!

I had an amazing lunch! The food was exceptional, and Robbie's service was seamless. I highly recommend the scallops, fish cake, and the chicken wrapped in pancetta. The sticky toffee pudding and the crumbs were absolutely delicious. You won't be disappointed, so be sure to book early!

a fish restaurant that served freshly caught, on the bone to the table. Never before had fish with the head but if you were married to a veggie, it will not happen. the sole with fresh veg. must learn to eat with a fish knife in future. apfel and black currants with cuddly dessert. to finish a pint of thatchers and coffee. very beautiful!

A proper harbour pub. I was in Poole attending an Intermediate Powerboat course and had this pub recommended to me. With its distinctive green exterior it's easy to find and the interior exudes character. The staff are attentive an the pub serves a good selection of local ales and lagers. The regulars are friendly and I stayed on to eat. I had a superb skate wing and a very good sticky toffee pudding. I'd definitely make this a pub to visit again!!!

"So we went to the restaurant with some friends the other day. I dropped my partner and her friend at the entrance until I parked since there is no parking in front of the restaurant and one of them is pregnant. It took me a total of 19 minutes to park the car and het back to the restaurant during those 10 minutes the waiter went twice to ask them if they'd like something to drink and although they initially replied that they were waiting for their partners he sent the manager out the bar to ask them in a more intimidating way and so they ordered water. Highlighting that this happened in between 10 minutes. When we arrived at the restaurant, we ordered the roasted bread, which you can actually see it wasn't roasted or warm. By the time our mains arrived the table next to us was empty and remained empty for until the time we left so made me question why the staff asked my partner a few times on what they would have making it look as they were in a hurry since there was ppenty of sitting space within the restaurant. During the whole time we were in the restaurant, there were a few flies around us which you wouldn't really expect in an indoor space restaurant of this price point. The food was amazing. We had 2 of the hake fillet and the sea bream. On the other hand my friend who ordered the sea bream was expecting it this with asparagus but instead it came with another green which would be nice to know from before. I got a creme brulee for a desert, the short bread biscuit was amazing the top of the creme was crunchy but yhe inside could have used some extra taste. All in all, if the service wasn't this poor and the flies weren't present, this review could have been way more positive."
