"We stayed as part of a hotel block for a wedding. Price was reasonable but if you don’t do your due diligence, be noted it’s about a 45$ ride to Edinburgh if you want to visit each way. Also all shopping and restaurants in the area close by 8 9pm. The hotel greeted us warmly but overall we felt it was average in service and cleanliness. Trashcan was still full in our bathroom on check in. Reservations for our taxis departure shuttle were lost so we had to follow up on all trips to ensure our transportation was set. The rooms are dark and with poor lighting if you are a makeup getting ready girlie. I struggled with the lighting to get ready for the wedding. Also it’s warm. Air only circulates when the key is in a holder so the room never really cooled and we had to pop windows open. Did it work for this trip? Sure. Would I go back? Likely not"

"Amazing Canadian restaurant, we've already tried the lunch menu and went back today for breakfast. Full plate and tasty food, nice craft coffee and a variety of juices. The waiters waitresses are lovely. The first time, we didn't know what to choose since there is so much on the menu that we wanted to try, but we had the lovely Ryan (hope we got his name right : who helped us choose. They only had a table outside on a cold day, but its was actually really comfortable, as they have heating on top and the set up is really nice. You can park across from it (for free , but remember to register your car when you enter the restaurant, it's also better to book in advance as the first time we went we were lucky to get a table as it is popular, and with it being busy, we got the last table available. I definitely recommend and we will be going back a third time :"

"Superb little place! Attended on Saturday evening The atmosphere was very old school. Absolutely loved it. Just a cracking little place. If you're into proper pubs, give this little place a visit. Sadly can't rate the food as didn't have any. But everything else was grand."

"Reached North Queensferry after crossing the Red Bridge' from South Queensferry. As we came down the hill from the station, the lady was opening up Rankin's at 10 a.m. Nice sunny morning so we chose to sit outside for a quick spot of refreshment, train...watching at the same time. Used the toilet before leaving. Establishment was very clean. It should be noted that there are no public toilets in North Queensferry. The Ferrybridge Hotel where we had downloaded a light lunch' menu appeared to be shut down. Spent the next couple of hours taking leisurely back over Forth Road Bridge to our hotel we were staying in."

"We only discovered that this charming cafe offered gluten-free options on the final day of our holiday. If we had known earlier, we would have tried more of the delicious offerings available. However, we did enjoy a gluten-free cake, as they had a great selection of pre-packaged cakes. The menu also includes paninis and jacket potatoes, and the staff appeared to be knowledgeable about Coeliac disease, so I believe they would be able to accommodate dietary needs well. My partner, who does not have Coeliac disease, tried a scone and found it to be delicious. There were also plenty of other tempting cakes to choose from. The prices were reasonable compared to other cafes, despite a customer behind us complaining about the cost of a toastie. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at this cafe and would recommend it to others."
