The Pit - Menu

unsere Erwartungen waren sehr hoch aber leider war das nur Ok. Wir Probieren es demnächst nochmal. (Wir waren auch kurz vor Feierabend da)

Runter geht es in einen kleinen gemütlichen Keller mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Die Karte ist klein, der Geschmack groß. Die Wartezeiten kurz und das Vergnügen lang. Gerne wieder, ausgesprochen wunderbar.

Whenever you want to eat succulent and delicious meat, The Pit is the right place. The menu is really essential and you can check it online. The position is quite hidden but it worst it all if you want to enjoy a good dinner.

Besser kann man nicht essen... sehr authentisch puristisch, hier geht es um das Fleisch und nicht um viel chi chi.Der Geschmack des Fleisches ist außergewöhnlich gut, ich hatte das Briscet und Beef Ribs, es war ein Traum, immer wieder...

Came again with friends for the second time after our first visit in July 2016. Same fantastic BBQ and beans, and -- yeay! -- they added homemade lemonade to the menu. Drank beer and bourbon, though, so I guess I'll have to try the lemonade another time.

I have been there with my friend while visiting Berlin. First please do check from their site or from Tripadviser about the operation hours. Could be close 2 days. If you like American kitchen you will love this place. It is a small restaurant so you may need a reservation. We had brisket which was very juicy and tasty. I may have better ones in US this is the best one Europe I guess.

Nice place with a friendly staff, good country music and nice tasting food. Me and my wife shared the sampler plate and we where both surprised about what we did get for 35€. We're not big eaters but that wasn't much to eat. I even asked for a extra slice but instead the waitress did recommend us to order a cheesecake. Great choice but it felt strange to leave that place hungry for more.

My boyfriend and I visited The Pit seeking a good American style restaurant in eastern Berlin. We are both fairly well travelled and even at 8pm we both felt really uneasy in the area it was in. Can't really fault the food - good sized portion (we had the sharer plate) but not a great selection of alcohol if you want something other than beer or whiskey. Despite really liking the food I would be hesitant to return unless I got a cab direct to the door!

With the recent popup of 'pulled pork sandwiches' and burger places in Berlin it was nice to find another one that has quite good food. I would have give this a 'very good rating' but the service was incredibly slow the day we were there, and there was really not many people there. Actually most were already eating when we arrived and no one came after us for lunch. It just took entirely too long to make a platter, a salad and one pulled pork sandwich. The girl working the cash was very friendly and apologetic about the wait but in the end getting everything separate and making it difficult to have a nice lunch.
