"We waited an hour and ten minutes, and when we spoke to the owner or the hostess, she mentioned that we had been forgotten. There was no apology; her only concern seemed to be getting us to pay for warm beer and the starters we didn't even receive. To make matters worse, the restaurant wasn’t even busy; if it had been, I’m sure we would still be waiting! This experience was a disaster, and as a local, I definitely cannot recommend this place based on what happened. The lack of customer service skills was shocking. They greeted us warmly when we arrived, but that friendliness vanished as soon as things went wrong!"

it's an ok little pub, they have a small outdoor area around the back, overall I enjoyed my experience there. they do not serve a large selection of drinks and the prices are a little steep for my pleasure.

Great pub with excellent beers! It's a classic Samuel Forge establishment in a beautiful location, perfect for unwinding after a day at Lord’s. Overall, it’s a winner. The only downside is the snake at the bar, which seems to be a staple of Samuel Forge establishments.

This is my local pub, and it's such a fantastic spot for a few indulgent drinks. The food portions are incredibly generous. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back—definitely not noisy! The staff is very friendly, especially Alex. The place is consistently clean, which is always a plus. There are plenty of seats both inside and outside. I highly recommend it! Voir le carte

April 2022. In my opinion, this place is more suited for enjoying beer than dining. They serve Samuel Smith, which comes from the historic Tadcaster brewery. I appreciate their pure, organically brewed beers and the hop bitterness they offer. However, this venue doesn't provide much in terms of entertainment like TV or music. I simply enjoy a good beer here. To be honest, I can find better dining experiences at other pubs.

The restrooms are a bit unusual and could use some updating, but they're manageable. For vegetarians, there are plenty of options available; I'm not sure about the dairy content for vegans, but the staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and happy to answer any questions. As for wheelchair accessibility, the outdoor area is gravelly, and there might be a small step at the entrance, but all other facilities are on the ground floor. The corridor leading to the restrooms is somewhat narrow, and the interior might also be a bit cramped.

"Decided to try the Crown in Fakenham as they do a Carvery on a Sunday, but what swayed us even more to go there was they allow dogs and there is a Dog Menu. We did phone a couple of days before to make sure we would get a table, which was in the bar because we were taking our dog. On arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming and showed us to our table. We ordered drinks non alcoholic for me and a coke for the wife, and ordered and paid for our Carvery at the same time. Our dog had a Carvery too he could choose between Beef or Turkey, he had the Turkey with roast spuds, veg and Yorkshire pudding obviously no gravy. I went to the restaurant to get our meals, today's meat choice were Beef, Gammon, Turkey and Pork with Crackling very nice too. I decided that we would have a bit of every meat and it was cooked to perfection. Then you moved along the counter there were roast spuds, roast Parsnips, stuffing balls, big Yorkshire puddings, Cauliflower Cheese. Moving further along were the veg, Peas, Broccoli, Carrots, Red Cabbage, Sweet Corn and French Beans. Obviously there was Gravy and all the Condiments that accompany the Meats. To be honest our plates were big but they couldn't cope with the amount of food piled on them. The food was very nice and hot everything was cooked very well and really tasty and the prices were very reasonable Adult Carvery £12.95 and the Dog Carvery was £3.95 which came in a big dog bowl full to the top. If we are still in the area next week we will be booking again, highly recommend The Crown's Sunday Carvery."
