The Old House At Home

We were warmly welcomed at the restaurant with our group of four adults and my dog. The food and drinks were fantastic.

Comfortable and staff that are lovely and not rude. Far better than Wheelwright's service. Will be using more, given what has happened at my old place

Staffing a bit sparse. Nice atmosphere. I really don't drink but just wanted a hot chocolate or coffee ,but was told it had been closed down ,so had nothing .

Come here with friends twice a month for quiz , don't have meal but chips are good!! Only complaint is the coffee machine is switched off by 9 and I don't drink but want a hot beverage it's very annoying !!!!!

Went for a drink with the family and met the most amazing staff grace and the manager bailey in the end we sat down for food and for pub food it was beyond my expectations. The prices are amazing and food is good price for what they serve. Was only supposed to be in there for an hour but stayed there until closing as it is such a nice warm atmosphere would definitely recommend better than all the pubs ive been to.

I came in on Easter Sunday at about 4 meeting friends, it was very busy due to the live music in the restaurant side, the team did amazingly to keep on top of serving everyone, especially the happy hours on the beers between 6 and 9 only on sundays. There was even roast potatoes and gravy on the bar for everyone to nibble at after the kitchen had closed, and they looked absolutely amazing. Defo recommend to other people

Came here on a sunday and had some drinks in the garden with work colleagues. Was quiet and we were actually the only people sat in the outside area which was nice. The staff were very freindly and even brought us out a tray of potatoes that the chef had cooked as extras by mistake. Drink were fair priced aswell. The pub is very quircky and traditional in style which is nice be carefull if you are tall though as there are some low ceilings. I would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately came to this pub with my family.Good points the staff were friendly.Bad points the mens toilets were out of action with such an awful smell going through the pub due to the men's toilet door being left open.With one of the urinals being blocked with ****.Men using the female Toilets.Which Would put some female women off for privacy.My wife did not even want to use the female toilets in the pub due to seeing men going in and out.This is one pub that I will definitely not be returning to.

In my honest opinion, this pub is still a far stretch from where it should be. My partner ordered pork belly which was anything but tender. The burger I ordered was ok but totally basic. It’s also very expensive, £17+ for two drinks. I don’t think the bar staff are particularly professional. There was no effort to do any St George’s day celebrations, staff were not even aware of it. Our last visit was the worst, chairs had been left out in the rain overnight and had been put back around a table, nice and ready for unsuspecting customers to park themselves, (which we did), resulting in wet trousers all around.
