"This is two reviews really. I went with my mother on a Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed my roast dinner. My wife has gone with her mother, sister and niece for the mothers day Sunday lunch and wouldn't go back. So the difference between the two days. On the Saturday, they served a white meat to start with which must be the most popular. Obviously have a choice but I do think you should always serve a white meat so my niece went without meat. Also, on the Saturday the food came already on the plate. So there was no sharing bowls. The big difference with the Sunday was there was 4 people and they brought one large bowl with all the veg on it and on top of the peas and carrots was cauliflower cheese. Not everyone likes this but obviously because it was on top of the peas and carrots then it ruined other veg. When you have 4 people trying to share from one large bowl it was a mess. These should have been separate bowls that people could pass around. There was a handful of peas for four people and when we asked if we could have more then they answer is yes but you pay extra. I would go back, but would ask numerous questions before I have a roast dinner again, I suppose I was just lucky that I went on Saturday and it was a better setup for the Saturday."

This restaurant is located just outside of Brecon and it is absolutely lovely. The staff is fantastic, the food is superb, and the ambiance is great. If you're looking for a fantastic place to eat, this is it. Thank you, Steve.

Underwhelming. Tasty meat pie but heated with gravy on top so pastry was soggy. Choice of two draft beers, both tasted sour. Landlord said they tasted OK as far as he was concerned but accepted the returned pints. Nice view though.

I have noticed this restaurant multiple times while driving by, it always appears bustling from the outside. However, after seeing that it was actually quite empty inside, we decided to give it a try. The location is nice, but the interior is a bit outdated and could use a refresh.

We are staying in Brecon, and decided to have Sunday lunch in your restaurant, which we can't fault, all the staff are very friendly and polite, the service was excellent, the menu had a good choice, and the food very good, nothing was any trouble, we were also able to take a doggy bag home as we had a good portion of veg,

This country pub is very charming and serves delicious food, but there were a few issues during my visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding that came with the roast dinner were not very enjoyable. The gravy on the meat pie had soaked into the crispy topping, making it a bit soggy. Overall, it was a pleasant experience but could use some improvement in certain dishes.

Wow!!! Where to start, I don’t know the name of our server tonight but she was the most friendliest politest girl I have ever met! She was extremely helpful, my dad has MND and his speech isn’t the best, we took our order and the server was amazing, didn’t look down on him or judge him it was amazing I could of cried happy tears she was just amazing! my dad was happy so this will be our place to take him as he felt really comfortable. Also the food was amazing too! Can’t thank you enough.
