Perfect table, perfect meal, perfect service...what does one want more? The highlight is the Cullen skink., A fish soup made of smoked haddock, leek and potatoes. A creamy delicious comfort food. We'll booked for a second time!

Still so good . Hadn’t been for about a year and it’s just so good . Was so busy but the staff we’re definitely on it for service . Our fish and chips were even better than we remembered and the other meals around us looked excellent . Won’t leave it so long to return .

First visit last Thursday and was excellent. Nice welcoming staff and food and service were very good. An old styled restaurant with loads of artefacts and stuffed animals which is very quaint. Toilet like something from the starship enterprise though Will be back next year Voir le carte

Lovely pub with friendly staff and loads of interesting niknaks to look at at. 3 of my party could not fault their steak pies and burger. Unfortunately my choice of the Brazilian Feijoada was bland, tasteless and very poor value for money at £21 . I won't let this put me off returning.

The Old Clubhouse is traditionally our first stop for dinner in Scotland. The restaurant is an eclectic collection of local memorabilia. The menu has expanded over years, but I must start with their fish and chips which are fabulous. The soups, appetizers and desserts are also delicious

As a personal habit, I always leave a 10% tip in cash under a plate for the waiter to find after I have left. I do not tip when prompted to do so on a card machine, as I believe it to be in poor taste and a discouragement to return to the restaurant. Overall, while I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, the experience was marred by the quality of the food and the expectation to tip using a card machine. Voir le carte

The Old Clubhouse change their menu seasonally so visited to check it out. As usual the offerings are varied, creative, plentiful and delicious and are supplemented by specials which are wonderful too. In addition to a fantastic meal of sharing plates, the service remains friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. On this particular night there was live music which amped up the vibe to an even more fantastic and fun evening for many very happy locals and visitors.

This has been our local for many years but the quality of the food and service has sadly gone very downhill. We ordered a bottle of wine which was literally thrown onto our table with our glasses without a word from the teenage server. My wife's fish and chips was good and I had the sirloin steak special. My steak was cooked medium rare as requested but was a very poor cut of meat, it was sinewey and very chewy, I left more than half of it. Our plates then sat in front of us for a good 20 minutes whilst some of the staff appeared to be engrossed with their friends and at no point were we asked if the meal was ok. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. We used to dine here 4 to 6 times a month. However, the new staff seems to have a strong focus on upselling. We were recently turned away for lunch, being told there were no available tables but were offered high bar stools instead. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty with many tables still unoccupied when we left. On another occasion, we visited as part of a family group. While our drinks were served promptly, it took 25 minutes for someone to take our food order.
