An impromptu Sunday lunch was very much enjoyed. Fantastically cooked beef, great Yorkshire and the roast potatoes were to die for. Will definitely return.

Just had a takeaway pizza from the northwick. As a truck driver I have had takeaway food from all over the country but you will have to travel many miles to get a pizza this good. Very very impressed. Will definitely be back for more.

We had Sunday lunch a week ago here and I am afraid the roast potatoes let the meal down badly. There were tasteless and enimic looking, no colour at all. The beef and the veg were good though, and the Yorkshire was better than average. Why did this Chef struggle with roast potatoes, this is not rocket science even I can a decent roast spud,. Excellent family experience and pizza was as good as any top Italian restaurant. Great family area to the rear of the pub kids enjoyed a run around on the grass and a good amount of outside seating. Communication up front before visit on camping trip was great and all Covid management was well explained via email before we arrived. Would highly recommend especially the pizzas.

This charming village pub restaurant was a delightful experience. Four of us dined together and enjoyed a sharing platter, which we all found to be delicious. Our main dishes included two duck dishes, one burger, and one gammon, all of which were generously portioned and excellent in taste. The food was consistently excellent throughout our meal. The value for money was outstanding, and we are already looking forward to returning in the future.

This restaurant is the least welcoming place I have ever been to. We arrived at 6:00 and were told that they could not accommodate a quick dinner for three people, even though their first booking wasn't until 7:30 (they start serving at 6:00). The reason given was that "the chef can't cope." We found out ten minutes later when people at the bar were served snacks and we were offered nothing. If you choose to dine at this unwelcoming establishment without a garden, you should do so frequently. Those passing by or hoping for a pleasant dining experience should look elsewhere. Four of us visited the Northwick Arms yesterday evening on ‘steak night’. Sandra was delightful and made us feel so welcome. Our steaks were personally cooked by Kiernan and were done to perfection, as were the onion rings and vegetables. The sponge puddings were home made and came with both ice cream and custard – perfect. They tasted so much better than the ‘bought in commercially made ones’ that we have experienced in other restaurants. We had a fabulous meal with taste, texture and variety just right. The surroundings oozed charm with a very comfortable ambiance. Would we recommend the Northwick Arms? We certainly would. Thank you Kiernan and Sandra.

We went for an evening meal with friends following the post lockdown reopening a few days before. The tables had been well spaced out and there were various other covid 19 precautions in place, which gave the interior a very safe feel. The ale was in perfect condition (I had the wonderful ten fifty from the local grain store brewery in Oakham). On the food side, they’re starting off with a very simple menu and building up from there. They were doing a Thai green curry night on our visit and it was very tasty and reasonably priced. We discovered the Northwick Arms online and decided to try it for our family's pre-Christmas Sunday lunch. It turned out to be a wonderful find! From the moment we made our reservation, the staff were efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Our group of 13 was warmly welcomed at this charming traditional pub, conveniently located just a short distance from the A1. The lunch was delicious and beautifully presented; all three options of beef, lamb, and halloumi were excellent. The roast potatoes and vegetables were also perfectly cooked.
