The New Inn - Menu

Haven’t been to the new inn for many years and the food and service is still first class was made very welcome and will be returning.

Excellent service and food...I would really recommend this pub..its an old traditional pub with lots of character..a really good visit...thank you.

Well worth a visit. Booked a lunch for 13 people on a Sunday. We were made to feel so welcome, they really looked after us. Those that ordered the famous steak pie loved it. Thank you for a great lunch.

This pub is incredibly inviting and serves delicious, traditional food cooked to perfection. The bartender is a delightful host and the serving staff are efficient, friendly, and helpful. We had a fantastic evening and are grateful for the exceptional service.

The restaurant offers large portions of popular steaks and pub food, all served by friendly staff with a good selection of beers. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Depending on the day of the week you plan to visit, it is recommended to call ahead and make a reservation.

The owner and employees were very hospitable and we enjoyed chatting with them. We were staying at Farleigh Campsite and this pub was conveniently located nearby. Although we only stayed for three nights, we dined at the pub twice because the food was delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The lamb and steak dishes were particularly excellent. Additionally, they had a wide selection of gins for those who enjoy them.

On our final night on holiday in this beautiful part of south Devon we went to the New Inn for dinner and can’t recommend it highly enough. After a very warm welcome from the owner, we had the best steaks (fillet and sirloin) we’d had in a long time, cooked and seasoned to perfection and with very generous helpings of chips, onions and veg. We then had homemade desserts chocolate brownie and lemon cheesecake which were also great. If you’re a lover of traditional, homemade pub food you won’t find a better place than this.

The New Inn came highly recommended as the best Steaks Restuarant around and we were not disappointed. This is an old pub steeped in history and the staff greet you with warmth and alcohol. There is a varied menu and the protions are plentiful . We had the Fillet steak and it was excellent, we asked if it was possible for a pepper sauce but were told it was not required and I was so glad I listened to that advice, succulent steaks that melted away cooked to perfection and didn't need anything to accompany it only my knife and fork. It was complimented by a very nice Malbec. Superb recommendation, not to be missed.
