"Popped in for lunch and what a great welcome when Chris opened the door a little early as it was cold outside. Nine of us ordered from a great Christmas menu and the real hits were the Christmas Pie and the Cheese Tart, delicious. Deserts were great too, particularly the waffles and jaffa orange toppings. Chris was attentive, super friendly and we enjoyed some good banter. Will be back, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for warm and welcoming local pub serving fantastic food. Thank you Chris."

Had the hunters chicken and I was stuffed afterwards, one of the nicest meals I've had out and great value for the size of the portion, definitely be paying another visit.

love this pub, very friendly staff, eat excellent, Sunday evening dinner and normal menu. beautiful cozy pub with log fire. would be the food and the wine highly recommended!

Booked here for Sunday lunch today, opted for the beef with all the trimmings and it was beautiful! Could not fault a single thing, the beef is to die for, also treated ourselves to pudding, highly recommend the red velvet cake! Went here for my mother’s 70th birthday ! We felt very welcome and the staff couldn’t do enough for us ! The place is stunning and very clean ! My brother in law is a chef so he usually criticise where ever he goes but for once he was Totally speechless !! Not one complaint only compliments !! So that says it all. I want to thank the staff for all they did for us you were all Amazing

I visited the new inn today with a companion and had a fabulous meal there. the manager and the staff were friendly and obliged and made us very welcome. the food was served immediately and was delicious and I couldn't find anything to criticize them. the service was first class.
