"Where do I begin. Booking was easy the day before. Their staff are so friendly, helpful and efficient. Very attentive checking we had everything we needed. We came on a Sunday purposely to try their roasts. Our friends had heard good things about this restaurant and they were so right. The food was delicious. We are roast people and have tried many many many all round the country. I actually would put their roast as our top 2 ever, huge praise. The taste was wonderful. Great selection, good quality and well prepared. We had the beef which came with roasted veg, tender stem broccoli, braised red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing ball. Great potion of food and I asked for extra veg which apparently no one has asked before which was also a great portion. Even their desserts were great. We had the fudge cake with custard which was lovely! I would definitely recommend this place and will come again when in the area! (There was only one issue which they dealt with as soon as I mentioned it which was we were over charged by one extra roast but the staff there immediately dealt with it once I pointed it out, no issue at all. (Also impressed how clean the toilets were. Always pleased to smell bleach."

This pub is fantastic. The staff provided excellent customer service, and the food was delicious! We both ordered the fried chicken and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place if you want a high-quality meal or just a relaxing drink in the beer garden. 10/10. Voir le carte

Really recommend this pub/restaurant .We were a party of 12 celebrating my 60th birthday and with age ranges from 3-60 there were a lot of different starters/meals ordered. The staff got every single order correct, the quality of the food was amazing and the service excellent . Can`t ask for more than that.oh and it was very reasonably priced as well.

While passing by, we decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant after hearing glowing reviews and learning that they had won pub of the year. I opted for the Jacket Potato and was thoroughly impressed. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, and the pub garden provided a lovely atmosphere to enjoy our meal. We will definitely return to sample the main evening menu, as it looked delicious.

What a gem of a pub. Liam, give Leonie a raise as you never want her to leave. We were in Weymouth for the macmillan mighty hike and this was best place to stay. Comfortable clean rooms, gorgeous dinner on night one. No problem with ordering pizza to the pub as we got back to the hike after they’d finished serving last night and an amazing continental breakfast before we left this morning, despite it not being part of their overall offering. All the staff were brilliant and we felt very well looked after. Proper, lovely pub, and great value. If you want a white wine, order the Viognier. It’s really really good. Voir le carte

It’s amazing how misleading a good website can be! Looking for a nice meal to celebrate the last night of our holiday, we came across the Lugger Inn. The website looked good, as did the menu even the reviews looked enticing, but unfortunately the food was awful a supposed stir fry was swimming in overly salty soy sauce, and the ribs were made up of 50% bones, 35% fat and 15% meat still, the chips were passable, so it wasn’t all bad. After bringing the state of our meal to the attention of the staff, we were offered a free dessert, but passed, a little worried about what we would be presented with. If you’re looking for a good meal, keep looking.

2nd time visitors to The lugger Inn, lovely summers day , and we had a great meal here last time , so thought we we would try again , we weren’t disappointed today either , the portion sizes here are extremely generous and the food is extremely tasty. This time we both had the lasagne , I couldn’t eat all mine as I had it with chips and I was left extremely full. Came with a actual side salad , as opposed to a few leaves on the plate and either chips or Garlic bread , and very competitively priced. Staff are extremely friendly and offer you a smile and their attention , and I always judge a good restaurant by if the staff come and ask if your meal is ok after a few mins, the lugger do this....
