20th March visit. £65 mixed order. Madagascar menu. First class food. Diverse selection ordered. Meats, fish, veggie etc, and no duds at all. Highly recommended. Friendliest first class crew also. Will revisit.

The staff was warm and welcoming, the Mexican atmosphere was delicious, and the nachos were the best I've ever tasted. This place needs to thrive and survive the Covid because I want to come back as often as I can! Voir le carte

Staff were so friendly and efficient. Had a delicious coffee and cake outside for very reasonable price and the staff chatted away and introduced the cafe-dog , Fergus! Highly recommend to visit after a walk or cycle

Delicious food and friendly service, the staff couldn’t do enough to make sure we were well looked after. Excellent selection of sweet and savoury waffles and crepes. Cakes also highly recommended! Would definitely visit again, including in the evening as an alternative option for the usual dinner options. Thank you!

Our time at Carlyle cafe was absolutely magnificent. Sarah was a glorious host and satisfied us with her presence. She made us feel so welcomed and made us fall in love with this hot asfock town. oh what a fabulous lunch friends date that was. the food amazing!! Sarah’s coffee making skills however.. nothing more than accurate : the owners surprisingly nice and, most importantly, good looking. lovely wee cafe. I thought I’d need alcohol to survive but turns out all I ever needed was a bit of carlyle’s excellent customer service. I felt loved and appreciated. and Sandra… what a woman. Going above and beyond. a little bit annoying but I guess that’s just the price you have to pay for the excellent pizza waffles

We had an absolutely delicious meal here: nachos, enchiladas, tortillas and potatoes bravas. The food was very tasty, fresh and well presented. The size of the portion was also great, enough to bring dinner later! The prices were very economical. I have the celiac disease and the owner and the chef were very diligent and careful, making sure that what I ate was prepared safely and gram. Fry my potatoes in unpolluted oil. This was highly appreciated and a rare finding. Do we strongly recommend this little jewel in Balerno?

I go into this coffee every Friday because I'm a bus driver and I leave the kids at 9 am and they don't come back until 12:30 pm, so I wanted to have a coffee and a snack. I ordered a crunchy bacon bag and I must say it was perfect and just as I like it along with a cappuccino. The staff is friendly, accessible and considerate. I also took a fruit bowl with another cappuccino and that completed my visit. This coffee has WiFi and outdoor tables, which is a shelter for the sun on a pleasant day.
