The Lemon Tree - Carte

I ordered the fish and chips to go and was impressed by the generous portion sizes and the excellent service. Everything was cooked to order and the food was delicious.

Lovely white fresh fish and home style chips served in a friendly manner. Ring in your order and collect or call in on spec.Other food on offer and children's meals. Always piping hot.

Stayed in this village for a few days walked to the lemon tree to collect a fish and chip tea .On arrival saw we could eat inside which we decided to do.The staff and service were great and the food was amazing the fish and chips were lovely not greasy at all would definitely recommend this place. Walked past early afternoon and saw a lady eating a fish sat outside, this was on my mind all day. Decided I was having some of that for my tea. First time I had called in and was greeted by a lovely lady Ho took our order and continued with conversation. Fish, chips and curry absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend.

We had an excellent dining experience at the restaurant. The establishment is clean and inviting, with outdoor seating available for takeaway orders. Our service was prompt and friendly, and our food arrived quickly. We ordered the smaller portion of fish and chips, and the fish was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Staying locally in mid November, we phoned an order through. When we got there, it was all ready to collect. The Haddock was perfect, especially as there was no skin and the chips cooked in beef fat were amazing. Even the mushy peas were different to our home offering I'm told, as I do not indulge. I placed my order and paid, only to be told there would be a 30-minute wait. When I tried to ask a question, another server rudely interjected with a sharp "NO." I have only been to this restaurant twice, and both times I witnessed this woman's disrespectful behavior towards customers. If it weren't for the delicious food, I would definitely steer clear of her. Very impolite woman.

Have been many times over the years. With my wife or on my own. When the latter I like to have fish bites or bits . Haddock of course. Why would you have anything else. We called on spec last week, went for the special medium sit down haddock. With peas beans and bread and butter and tea thrown in. Cooked to order, everything fresh, hot and served in nice reply pleasant surroundings. Owners are very attentive and always welcoming. We will be back.

Having travelled down from Scotland, we fancied a fish supper. Nearest place to where we were staying was Helmsley so we headed there. Unfortunately, both takeaways only served cod/hake we prefer haddock. We phoned The Lemon Tree a lovely lady confirmed they did. Freshly cooked for us, some scraps very kindly added). All I can say is delish. Succulent piece of fish, proper chippy chips. Probably the best I've ever eaten. Lovely staff, lovely food. Highly recommend. Voir le carte
