"I had a couple of pints here and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great, and I was pleasantly surprised that the place wasn't overwhelmed with signs saying “that table is reserved for diners.” The staff gave a much friendlier welcome than I've experienced in the past. The venue itself is incredibly atmospheric, steeped in history. There are times when it feels like they overlook the importance of the current patrons, focusing too much on the reputation of the past, but that wasn't the case this time. It was a genuinely welcoming experience. I hope they continue to maintain this standard."

The Leather Bottle continues to be a fantastic spot, with attentive service and consistently delicious food. However, the Sunday roast we had this time was rather tough. Despite that, it won't deter us from returning. Service: 4 Location: 5 Highlights: Kid-friendly atmosphere.

Visited for Sunday lunch! Lots of reserved tables indoors but plenty of space in the garden. Sunday lunch menu is reasonable beef roast great and generous kids roast options! Bar small but orders taken quickly. All in all not much service to comment on but was a nice enough spot! Noteworthy details: Apparently a place Charles Dickens wrote about in the Pickwick Papers! Lots of nods to CD in the decor! Service: 3
