"Oh Dear!! Ordered fish and chips and sausage and chips and a battered burger. It took over 20 minutes to get the food and it was awful, chips were dry and tasteless. Fish wasn’t great and the sausage was average, dry and tasteless. The battered burger was served as no burger but a chopped up battered sausage in a burger bun and was foul, really awful. The Indian from this restaurant is great, the two shops are attached. The fish and chips are diabolical, take ages to be served and are dry and tasteless. It was a complete waste of money but I only ate it as it as I was so hungry. Take my advice and get fish and chips elsewhere. The Indian food is fabulous though from the linked shop. I feel they need to concentrate on that side of the business and stop selling sub-standard fish and chips that are best avoided."

So friendly and accommodating here! they opened their fish and chips side of the restaurant for us after they had already closed. amazing service and amazing food here. i really recommend this restaurant.

I was very impressed with the chicken kebab . It was crammed full of tasty chicken tikka ,with no fat or gristle ,and lots of salad.i couldn't fault it and I noticed a big improvement in the quality of the chips . I'll be back.

Once again, our group used the Laughing Halibut for our fish and chips supper for our quiz night. As before, nearly 40 portions of fish and chips were provided in a timely fashion. Good quality, generous portions and hot. Thank you Voir le carte

We use this fish and chip shop regularly for our annual fish and chip quiz, held in Pangbourne Village Hall. Once again, the fish and chips were excellent, nearly 60 portions provided in a timely fashion. We shall certainly use them again.

best fish and chip shop in town. been going here for years and will still to this day say they do the best indian food and the fish and chips is lovely! also the staff are top tier. i always go for the chicken kebab as it never fails to impress and there is not a kebab like it . 5 stars all the way from me
