The Labworth - Carte

On Saturday night, we had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. We couldn't find any faults - the service, food, and drinks were all perfect.

Great place to eat staff friendly.The food is well presented and delicious. It’s really nice to sit and look out over the sea whilst eating and drinking.

Honestly one of the nicest, if not THE nicest breakfasts I’ve had in a long long time… sausage, bacon, black pudding, hash browns, simple ingredients, cooked really, really well. Lovely

I went for Sunday lunch and had roast pork loin with delicious roast potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables. The gravy was excellent. The food is always freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients and served piping hot. The only downside is that you cannot make a reservation.

This was our first time visiting and we were very pleased we chose this lovely restaurant. The decor and ambiance were perfect and the staff were outstandingly friendly and helpful. The food was very nice with a varied selection of dishes. A lovely experience, so much so that we considered the optional service charge too low and asked for the bill to be increased to reflect a lovely evening out. Been to the SAVOR as the Labworth restaurant is now known a couple of times now, although the food is very well cooked and the service is great, the menu is very safe, there's nothing that a competent home cook couldn't do themselves, no real standout dishes, nothing you would rush back to have again and in the time between first vist and this, about 4 months I think, the menu hasn't changed, there are some specials on a board but again, very safe, if your doing specials, make the special...

I have visited the Labworth Cafe many times over the years. I grew up on the island and have recently had reason to return taking my elderly Dad to the Cafe for lunch or a coffee whilst soaking up what is probably the best vantage point on Canvey. When the tide is out and the estuary waters are calm, it is a tranquil spot. The attraction of the cafe has grown, sometimes it is very busy. A recommendation is to arrive for lunch around 130pm and expect to stay until 3pm when it closes. The staff, mainly young people, are incredibly welcoming and do a great job serving.

The restaurant changed its name to Savor and has been closed for many months due to construction work on the sea wall. It re-opened on 29/5 and having previously been regular customers we made a booking. We were looking forward to returning and all appeared well upon arrival, however, after being served a drink and having our order taken we were in for a long wait. It took an hour for the starters to be served and a further hour for the mains to arrive. The reason for the long wait was that they were a waitress short but fail to see how this could be given as the excuse for such a long wait for food.
