The Kings Head Inn - Carte

the first time I've been trying a Sunday roast here for a long time. I was not disappointed, the beef was very tender with fresh vegetables and potatoes. the staff could not be really friendly anymore. I enjoyed my Kings head experience and will return. they are also dog-friendly as well as with ample parking on the back of the pub.

I went out for a spontaneous meal with friends and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was stunning—absolutely no complaints! As for the drinks, I didn’t have any since I was the designated driver, but the food was fantastic. I would rate the service a perfect 5, as well as the location. Overall, this place offers great value!

The King's Head Inn is very conveniently located at the bottom of a scenic viewing spot of the Roseberry Toppings. Nothing more refreshing that the homely feeling and pleasant smiles of the staff here. The service is unflawed and the food is delicious. My stay at The Cleveland Way lasted one night, and it was wonderful. The location is beautiful, situated right beneath Roseberry Topping. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. It's also very dog-friendly. The rooms are well-equipped, and there’s a great selection of food, including plenty of options for picky vegetarians. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

This is a beautiful part of the world, and what a charming place it is! I stayed here for one night for business, but I will definitely return to explore more. The staff was very helpful, the room was clean, and they went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs. Chef Scotty even came out to personally discuss my meals with me. I highly recommend this place and I’m looking forward to my next visit!

We had a fantastic one-night stay. Our reservation was adjusted without any extra charges due to bad weather. The food, drinks, and staff in the evening were outstanding. The rooms were cozy and warm, and the highlight was definitely the amazing breakfast! We truly enjoyed our time and will definitely return soon. The climb up RT the next day was great as well. I returned to the restaurant yesterday, and although our orders took a while to arrive, the attitude and customer service of one staff member really turned things around once he noticed the delay. I can't recall his name, but he has bleached hair and a warm, friendly demeanor. He apologized multiple times, followed up on our main course, and even treated us to an extra round of drinks as a gesture of goodwill. Overall, I would rate the service a 5 and the location a 5.

A fantastic pub to stay at when visiting Roseberry Topping, and conveniently located near Great Ayton. We enjoyed a great deal during the Walk Inn break, which included a welcome drink upon arrival, a package featuring some beautiful walks in the area, a lunch package, and our dinner on the first evening. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly, especially Clo and Rosie. All our meals were excellent, so compliments to the chef! I would definitely recommend a visit here, and we will certainly be returning.

We've been here a few times over the years, but this was my first visit since Lockdown 1 delighted to say its as good as ever. Had a lovely family lunch here, as there were 8 of us we booked ahead, but the place was fairly quiet, it was the first Monday in April so best to book ahead. Orders are taken at the bar, the menu includes bar staples: haddock and chips, Whitby Scampi and Steak and Ale Pie. The pie deserves a special mention as its a proper pie, short crust pastry top bottom and sides, served with mash and root veg it was excellent.
