"Was staying in the local area and came across Fletchers. Went for breakfast in the two days that we were there and was not disappointed. My husband ordered the farmers and I ordered the herdsman breakfasts on both days as it was so good the first day, I didn’t want to order wrong! It’s a really dog friendly place, and was asked where we’d like to sit for example in a corner or any table so not to frighten my dog if not good around crowds. I thought was so thoughtful our dog is absolutely fine anywhere. The staff are lovely, we were chatting about where to go out and about. Was provided with some really good info and when we went back the next day, we were asked where we had been and if we enjoyed ourselves how thoughtful! I think we will be visiting the area again and would definitely go again. It is a really good you must try it. The pictures just don’t do it justice…."

A lovely breakfast and friendly service, a bit pricey so only for a treat but the breakfast items are obviously good quality. Sat by a roaring fire on a cold day, what more can I ask ; Voir le carte

Can get very busy, it certainly was when we were there on a Saturday however, the staff were very efficient, and service was quick. Good selection on the menu. Lots of traditional farmhouse type food. Their Full English Breakfast was large and a good variety of ingredients. A bit pricey.

went here for breakfast and wasn't disappointed! was fairly busy and thought we'd be waiting a while, but within about 10/15 mins food was brought out and I must say it's probably one of the best breakfasts I've had (apart from my own at home lol) price was a little high but for the quality it was worth it. the sausages mmmmmm Voir le carte

Came for Sunday lunch with family. We were welcomed by friendly staff and served very quickly. I had a regular Sunday lunch with pork. The pork was divine. The creamed leeks were lovely. The mash potato was a bit sloppy and the roast potatoes were hard. Yorkshire puddings weren't great, they were very dry. The meal size was generous. All in all I enjoyed the lunch but not sure I would return.

My husband and I have just been attacked by 2 huge turkeys roaming freely in front of the shop. They attacked us with talons and beaks and we couldn't get away it was terrifying. This is not a safe place for small children or less abled adults or elderly who could have been killed by this ferocious attack. I finally managed to take refuge in the shop and the lady farmer was called she and a girl had to use dustbin lids and a dog to herd them away. I was left very shaken and furious.

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
