"This restaurant review describes a charming pub dating back to the late 15th century, with a grade II listed timber frame, offering a relaxed atmosphere and lots of character. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious with generous portions and beautiful presentation. The reviewer particularly enjoyed the fish and chips, noting that the twice-cooked chips were the crispiest, fluffiest, and most tasty they've ever had. After spending a day in the sunshine, they enjoyed sitting inside and soaking up the atmosphere, but also noted that there is a great beer garden outside where they could still enjoy the warm April sunshine. They plan to return to this pub in the future."

Didn't bother going in, too many rules on entry.Went 3* to be fair as no idea what inside is like.

This is a wonderful restaurant with a very welcoming staff. The presence of vegan options only adds to its appeal. I highly recommend stopping by and I will definitely be returning the next time I am in the area. Thank you.

Very basic pub grub, obviously straight from freezer.Double cooked chips were barely cooked once. Took an age for the food to turn up, then one dish turned up 15 minutes later, but we were offered one of our drinks free by way of compensation.Very disappointed having read the other reviews.

Too bad that the personal refused to serve a wee and bee in glasses, although we were not part of the larger group outside, and about half the customers had glasses. such a simple question was a little annoying, the glasses only told when plastic had expired. the expensive wein is simply not the same from a cheap, non-reusable plastic cup. Celebrated my Dad's birthday here at the weekend as he has a particular liking of Ghostship. There was 6 of us in our group and we all had thoroughly enjoyable meals both delicious and well presented. We all said we would recommend. Unfortunately the pub car park behind the venue was not in use so we had a challenge finding somewhere to park. We ended up parking near the co-op which is a fair walk from the pub so if anyone in your group has mobility issues I would definitely look into this before attending. Overall well worth the visit. Thank you.

This charming pub, dating back to the late 15th century and classified as a Grade II listed building, is filled with character and exudes a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was not only delicious but beautifully presented with generous portions. I tried the fish and chips, and the double-cooked chips were the crispiest, fluffiest, and tastiest I've ever had! After spending a day in the sunshine, we enjoyed sitting indoors to soak up the ambiance, but there's also a large beer garden outside that basks in the warm April sun. We will definitely be coming back!
