"My wife and I stayed over in Haworth for a two night stay and by a country mile the highlight of our visit was the time we spent in The Pave. The owners Andrew and Rachael were very welcoming , as were all the staff in there . The atmosphere was relaxed and absolutely what we look for on a night out . We knew straight away that we had stumbled across a Gem. The one regret is that we didn't eat in there ....the food looked and smelled amazing . However , the choice of wines more than made up for this...and Andrew introduced me to what is now my wine of choice . We WILL be back soon......that's an extra star to make my review a 6 star rating ......Tom n Jill"

"The food here is exceptional for a pub. I had the roast pork Sunday lunch and every part of it was done to perfection. The pork was succulent and not dry like most Sunday roasts, with a rind of crackling along each slice. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious and the veg was fantastic. The views from this pub just enhance the experience. The only slight letdown was the customer service which I would describe as lacking and inattentive. Didn't receive the most friendly welcome at the door and was forgotten about when trying to order desserts and pay the bill."

"It has been a few years since my last visit, and I was delighted to find that on Monday, the dining experience is still of extraordinary quality in this hidden gem of a restaurant. My salmon was a generous portion, perfectly cooked and served in a delicious sauce. My partner had the sirloin steak, accompanied by the largest, freshest king prawns in garlic butter, also cooked to perfection. We were well taken care of by the owner, his staff, and the skilled kitchen team. The lovely open fire added to the ambiance, and the music was an enjoyable eclectic mix. To top it all off, the wine selection was excellent! Thank you for a delightful evening; we will definitely be back again."

"My wife and I visited The Hawthorn for the first time on 20th October to attend a wedding meal in the private dining room. I had the Whitby Crab starter and the Dexter Ribeye steak served rare. The starter was delicious and beautifully presented, and the ribeye steak was really tasty and so tender it melted in my mouth. My wife had the fondue starter and the whole bream, and she loved both. The staff are so professional and friendly, and no request was too much for them. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and cozy, which was particularly enjoyed on the rainy evening we visited Haworth! Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the care taken in presenting it. We are already planning our return to The Hawthorn!"

"The most unprofessional service I have ever experienced!!! Spoken to with contempt on arrival as we had arrived 4 minutes after our booking which was made a day before, then pointed to an area where we should sit at a specific table that had no...coasters for our drinks, no menu’s, napkins or cutlery for our food though each and every other table was set up correctly for customer arrival. Then when we had our drinks we had to take napkins from an empty table for the landlady/bar manager to have the audacity to question my partner for taking the napkins as if she was doing something wrong. Furthermore spending the whole entire time we were there with her back to the few customers that were visiting the venue chatting away to the bar staff. RUDE!!!! Thank you for the poor service, made it extremely easy to decide not to visit the venue again."
