The Hopping Hare - Carte

Popped in one weekday morning for breakfast on my husband’s birthday. Had a lovely full English breakfast and one vegetarian breakfast. Included hot drinks, soft drinks and cereals and toast. Very good value and everything was delicious.

The meal was mediocre considering the high price. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, but parking is limited. The staff is friendly and everything is pleasant, but we were not impressed with the food quality or the expensive drinks.

A group of 8 of us met for lunch. Booking was straightforward and a reminder was received. Staff friendly and efficient, surroundings very pleasant. Good menu, I had the prawns in Panko with avocado on flatbread with a choice of skinny fries, chunky chips or soup, which was delicious. Good value, set to become a favourite.

I had a wonderful birthday dinner at this fantastic restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The service from the staff was top-notch, they were friendly and efficient, making our experience even more special. Even my picky husband enjoyed a brownie from the kids' menu with a candle in it, as it was his birthday. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

This was booked through my company as was doing training in the area and needed somewhere local! What an absolutely delightful little place!! The staff were friendly and attentive and the room (no4) was just perfect, everything I could possibly need for a one night stay! The food was delicious, I had pork loin and pork belly on the evening cooked to perfection! The breakfast the following morning was also delicious. I had booked for 5:00 pm on the Sunday. It was a great pick. The dining area was practically empty and therefore the service was quick and efficient and the whole atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Two of us had Pork Lion with all the veg including cauliflower cheese and a tasty yorkshire pudding. The pork was thick and melted in the mouth. My niece had medium rare beef which she declared was excellent. For puddings we had an Apricot and Almond slice with baby apricots, Peach Parfait .and of course sticky toffee pudding, We followed this with three coffees and declared ourselves well pleased. We are looking forward to another visit in the not to distant future.

We had a family birthday to celebrate for 15 people on a Saturday lunchtime. We are so glad we booked the Hopping Hare. We had a couple of special dietry requests that were catered for perfectly, Sophie and Rosie were both very helpful arranging the booking for us, even when the numbers changed several times before the day. The food was delicious, very well presented, perfectly sized portions and piping hot. We were so pleased everybody received their meal at the same time as this can sometimes be a real issue when booking a meal for a large group in other restaurants. So a big thank you David to you and your team for a lovely family get together. We will definitely be back soon

We had a party of 8 for afternoon tea. Upon booking, I requested a specific seating area as we tend to be a loud group and did not want to disturb other diners. We were seated in a cozy spot behind the bar with plenty of light and space, which was very nice. The amount of food provided was generous and we were all pleasantly stuffed by the end of the meal. Despite this, we still had leftovers which we were able to take home. The selection of food was lovely and catered to everyone's tastes. Our server, Jenny, was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We would definitely consider returning for either another tea or for dinner as the quality of the food was exceptional.
