Outstanding, fantastic value and the Friday curry is superb. A lovely pub with a wonderful atmosphere and amazing staff.

Visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Fantastic service and food. Highly recommend the lamb shank roast. A lovely pub in a beautiful village, we’ll be back!

Went here for lunch prior to visiting Henry Moore studios. Food and service absolutely fine without being anything special. No complaints. Would have given 4 stars but the prices were above the norm for pub food. Voir le carte

Friendly pub, next door to The Henry Moore Foundation. Staff friendly, but were struggling to cope with the amount of customers. Food average not too happy at having to wait for 65 mins for a sandwich. Requested brown bread, served white, could not wait another 65 mins so I ate it!

I visited this pub on 6/11/22 and it was a fantastic discovery. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had the Sausage and mash dish along with some great drinks. We will definitely be returning. The owner even gave us a complimentary mug and took the time to chat with us. Kelly N. USA.

Thank you Kevin and team for a great lunch on Sunday 10th July to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Considering we were a large group at lunchtime on a blazing hot day, we had fantastic and friendly, speedy service without a hiccup. Lovely staff, nice food, gorgeous setting. What a great little recommendation from our host. We decided to visit The Hoop Inn and we could not be more impressed. The landlord Kevin and the girls behind the bar is very welcoming and accommodating, service with a smile! We stumbled upon this pub by chance as we didn't want to navigate through the narrow country lanes to the pubs indicated on the GPS. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and delicious food. We ordered the mussels, paella, and a veggie cheese tart. My paella was filled with large prawns, octopus, clams, mussels, and cockles. The meals were outstandingly tasty and satisfying. The pub is dog-friendly, and the staff even gave our dog a carrot when we asked for one, which was a nice touch. We would definitely return if we happen to be passing by, and I highly recommend this place. Thank you for a wonderful evening meal.

We received excellent hospitality and food at a charming country pub. After a friend recommended it, we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Every aspect of the Sunday Lunch service was outstanding: the staff were knowledgeable and the Landlord was welcoming, and the food was exceptional. We had booked for 2pm and our Beef Roasts were served piping hot within 10 minutes. The desserts were also delicious: the homemade Sticky Toffee pudding and Belgian Waffle were a perfect end to the meal. We highly recommend a visit to this pub, especially if you're a cyclist as it's an easy 8km ride from Bishop's Stortford with mostly flat terrain. Voir le carte
