Pleasant Sunday roasts, good portions and tasty food. Nice garden and seating area outside. Close to the train track.

Had a lovely Sunday dinner with the family. Food was awesome. Only issue was one of the deserts came out after the other three had been eaten and the bill paid slightly disappointing but don't let that put you off.

The food was excellent. however we waited for over an hour for the food to arrive . After 3/4 hour I went to the bar to find out how long it would be and discovered that there had been some sort of mix up with the order.

We went for a Sunday lunch had the duo of meat for £16.50, got plenty on the plate and it was very tasty. Could have done with a bit more gravy but that's a personal choice. We will definitely be back for another visit soon.

Had a lovely meal the chicken and ham hock pie. The pie had lovely pastry and was packed with chunks of meat. The mash was also very good. I would definitely order this dish again. The service was excellent. It as a very pleasant meal out and we will definitely visit again very soon.

First and last time!! on your website it says 3 courses for £25 to find out when we arrive it’s actually £35. 2 courses was £30, absolute rip off. Quality of food was poor, served cold, you were missing half the menu, both bitters were off, no vanilla ice cream. Can’t tell you how bad the experience was and the staff had no care in the world, waste of money!

Never did we have to wait up to 3 hours to get served food. We were looking forward to a nice Father's Day meal only to be given the excuse that the ticket was lost. Food was good though but the whole experience was awful. Even left couple of hours with no drinks as everyone around us was being served. Wouldn't be going back as its left a bad taste in our mouths.

Lovely decor and nice and clear.. we were only diners on midweek lunch and the service was poor.. the waitress gave us menus and drinks quickly then proceeded to count money behind the bar.. we had drunk our drinks before she came for food order.. my linguini was overcooked and prawns and peas in it were hard.. flavour was good but at nearly £19 not value for money.. My friend said her frozen peas were like bullets and couldn't eat them... to be honest it was quiet, we could talk ok and food was edible so it scratched an itch. Would we go back? Sorry...no..

Sadly, I wasn’t impressed. When we arrived, we were pointed at our table across the bar with a promise of menus. After 20 mins my wife had to get up and grab a member of staff. We were then told they had staff problems and we needed to order at the bar. The colleague apologised for our arrival explaining that the lad was new. I was very close to getting up and walking out. Service for the rest of the meal was ok. The food was adequate but sadly not great. There was nothing to actually complain about but it also had no wow factor. Finally when I settled the bill the colleague couldn’t have been more “off hand” if she had tried. I doubt we will be rushing back and we would only give a very gua...
