"I have visited the Hawk numerous times and have consistently received great service along with delicious meals. This visit was no different. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing, and the food was served hot, perfectly cooked, and tasted fantastic. There are options for every palate, and one member of our group had the vegetarian burger, which she said was excellent. I will definitely return again and again!"

Lovely pub in a beautiful place but food lacked taste.... Rum baba lacked rum; and fishcakes lacked crab and prawn, potato was the dominant taste. The sirloin steak was, as always, to die for

Sarah looked after us today, she was very helpful and didn’t rush us. This is the second time I have been to the hawk with in as many weeks. The food is excellent , I would highly recommend the hawk .

a beautiful pub with great food. the service, although very friendly, was however very slow in the arrival. we waited twenty minutes before someone came to our table to see if we wanted a drink. it was fifty minutes before we got our first teller. a main course and dessert lasted two hours.

Anna, our waitress, was excellent as we had two very elderly relatives with us and she looked after us exceptionally well with kindness and humour. Sea bass was lovely and the chicken tasty but the fish cakes, although piping hot, with a nice crunchy exterior and nicely flavoured were very runny when you cut into them and had little substance. Creme Brulee and Eton Mess were lovely desserts. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff.
