Amazing home made Sunday roast made at short notice for my partners birthday. Well priced. Even though a small side dish was missed off the order, they delivered it to us within a few minutes. We will definately spend a few quid in the pub once lock down is over. Thanks again Voir le carte

good pub, slightly off the beaten stretch in the lower st albans. good selection of ales and eating is of good quality (only once eaten here). the outside area is quite eclectic old, beaten sofas and a rough and finished gras area. room for improvement, but worthy of four stars.

This is a great pub located slightly off the main stretch in lower St. Albans. They offer a good variety of ales and the food I tried was of good quality. The outdoor area has a unique charm with old sofas and a rough grass area. There is room for improvement but overall I would give it four stars.

beautiful little pub with a fantastic roast! I and my sister came to a bratessen without having booked a table. we sat immediately and could order quickly. we had hello starters and roast beef mains that were cooked nicely and a really good price-performance ratio. will be back with more of the family to taste what they still have! I believe that The Hare doesn't necessarily stand out among other pubs of its kind. While their beer selection may not be the best, the building itself is intriguing. However, there are better options elsewhere. That being said, whenever I find myself in St Albans, I always feel compelled to stop by. There's just something about it that feels welcoming and right.

We passed it after I had a minor surgery. It was empty as we were early, and I could see a beautiful fire and a sofa. I jumped out of the car and told my partner to park..he didn't have a choice! The tapas was exceptional, and my raspberry gin and his Guinness perfect. We will go again even though not local, we both went to school in St Albans.. The owner and staff were the best. They are down a little back street. It was lovely find xxx

We recently held our special event at the Hare and Hounds on August 31st and we were extremely impressed with the experience. From our first interaction with the team, we knew we had chosen the perfect venue for our celebration. We had been following the restaurant closely on social media for the past 18 months and were happy to support a local establishment that had shown so much care for the community during the lockdowns. The staff were incredibly helpful and enthusiastic about our theme, and they provided a beautiful menu that catered to all dietary needs.
