A simple pub in a quiet side street. And inside, the best Fish Chips you can find near Madame Tussauds! This is one of my three picks in all of London. And fried and steamed, PY-CHO-TA...

I think the best fish in the town. I only dont like their fries but still ok. Fishh is tasty and the most important thing is their oil is not make you feel bad after you eat the fish. It’s not heavy all.

Overhyped and overpriced. Doesn't live up to its reputation. Very expensive for what it is. The map displayed next to the entrance displays the take-out prices... without specifying it too much. Remember that service is not included.. Voir le carte

Fantastic fresh fish made in exquisite ways at a wonderful low-key atmosphere. Although the place is well known for its fish and chips, I went with the steamed plaice and it was exquisite as it was really fresh and properly cooked. Jason and his team live up to the long history of the place. Looking forward to the next time there!

We were there with family for 'Fish and Chips Sunday. ' The place is very touristy and quite expensive. Tables are placed very close to each other, so it 's quite loud. You need to order the fish, mushy peas, and chips separately. We ordered only one portion of mushy peas, and it was enough for three people. The fish was cooked well.

We went here as it was listed in the top fish and chip restaurants in London, but sadly it did not live up to it's name. The chips were average (at best) seemed like they were reheated. The fish was nothing special, especially for a place that specialises in it. My wife ordered the calamari but it was overcooked and rubbery she didn't like it much. I would try other options.

The haddock without batter and the fresh peas were fantastic. We had shrimp cocktail to start and some chips. Two glasses of red wine topped off the dinner and we were in heaven. The staff are amazingly friendly and the prices very reasonable. You can also get fish and chips but we had the fish with no batter one cod and one haddock. They were both fantastic. This is not the fanciest but is among the best places in all of london. A hidden jewel.

I have been dining here for a number of years, fairly regularly. The personalised service by the family run business is always outstanding. The food is the main draw...and boy is it worth it. Having experienced many of the restaurants offering what would seem like a simple cuisine...only few have really mastered the consistent quality and taste. The recent change to their Chip supplier has propelled the chips to a whole different level... The battered Cod and haddock are absolutely super light and crispy on the outside with succulent white flesh on the inside. To round up....the traditional apple crumble with warm custard....will remind you of the glorious days of your youth....or be a pleas... Voir le carte
