"Thanks to our hosts Penrose B B Chris Heidi they highly recommended us to Globe Inn when we inquired about a good walkable restaurant from our guest house in the wonderful village of Lostwithiel. We were greeted by Jane who was an excellent server instantly made us welcome. Kitchen closes at 830 so get there early. We made a reservation had a lovely table in the main dining room overlooking the beautiful patio. Food was excellent we had local fresh scallops with couscous a roasted tomato peppers . They had 2 fresh local catch of the day specials . Both were exquisite. Hake Sole . Lovely ambiance , cosy felt like we’d stepped back in time . The village dates back to 1189 this was one of the highlights of our trip . Thank you for your wonderful hospitality keep up the good work . Congrats to the Chef we”ll be back to visit before we head home . Can’t comment on accommodation but if the food is anything to go by I’m sure the rooms are fit for a Queen"

Really lovely meal in this welcoming pub. Relatively short menu but a good choice, locally sourced excellently prepared food. Friendy and welcoming, would definitely recommend.

Lovely old school style pub with hearty, home cooked and locally sourced food. Great service and a busy buzz that showed how popular the place was even on a Monday night. Dog friendly.

Excellent food. Friendly welcome by the bar staff and the waitress. Nothing was too much trouble. 3 of our group Chose the vegan option and one chose the pie of the day. One member of the party had some food allergies, this was taken seriously...

Just overpriced, even the side dishes are expensive to add onto your main course. Waiting staff were helpful and polite. I guess the chef/ owner for doing the upmost best to reduce good food, but I think the management need to look at their pricing.

Was recommended this pub for somewhere to eat for dinner so booked a table and turned up at 6pm. What a treat, great beer, great food, great friendly staff. Would certainly recommend this pub and food to everyone and will most certainly book another table...

I ate here on a week night whilst staying locally. It felt like a nice place when I walked in. Helpful staff, comfortable seating, friendly locals and good beer. I was impressed at the quality of the menu and was not disappointed with my locally caught pollack. Well cooked (not overcooked) and served with a thoughtful base of smokey beans, it was excellent.

Don't be fooled by the outside appearance. It's an old inn. This restaurant was recommended by Ladyvale Barn cottage rental and it exceeded our expectations. We have had the pleasure this evening of having sampled some of the finest cuisine using the best of local produce you could get. We hadn't made a reservation but would recommend you do, we visited slightly outside the main tourist time so we're very lucky to get in at the beginning of service. From the welcome at the bar, to the explanation of the menu we were impressed.
