"We had my Father's Wake at The George one mid afternoon a couple of weeks ago. We had about 80 guests and were able to use the back room and also spill out into the main areas of the pub. Claire and her team were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. All the guest really enjoyed the Afternoon Tea that was provided. We even took lots of cake home as there was so much. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm and it gave my Mum and the rest of our friends and family a comfortable and stress free location to celebrate the life of my father. Thank you to everyone at The George for making everything so easy. Much appreciated!"

Cozy Pub. Friendly, polite staff. Food was great and the real ale was top notch. Large rear garden and seating area at the front in a calm quiet village. Will visit again, when in the area.

Grand spot, friendly and switched on staff do a fine job of running a tight ship. Food and drink is always great, nice cosy spot. Watched the rugby there recently too, had some of the recommended sticky toffee pudding with a couple of pints breakfast of champions Voir le carte

We went on a Saturday lunchtime. The food was reasonably nice. The calamari starter was average with a standard tasting dip. I had prawn and salmon risotto which I didn't like very much. The consistency was too wet and the salmon laid whole over the dish rather than in chunks in the risotto. The puddings were the best course To be honest I wouldn't hurry to go back, not because it was bad, it was fine -but just because it wasn't really lovely.

Food was very good. There were mistakes with the delivering of food. Wrong meals brought out. Got desserts but waited fir spoons and forks. One person had their fish delivered to them by hand not tongs. Although we were a group the person taking our order stood at end of table and we called out our order from other end of longish table. Difficult as music was platting and another table had noisy customers at it. So not easy to hear. Some of our ladies are rather hard of hearing anyway. Couldn't fault the cooking and presentation of the food though especially the gooseberry crumble and custard.

"added dropwise for a pizza on the afternoon without reservation, and we were warmly welcomed and set immediately. the smell of reifer tomatensauce and gooey mozzarella in the stone oven under fire baked was an salutation to the sinnen. the restaurant was filled with a pleasant humor of talking and laughing, the sound of the teigs chopped in the kitchen, and the familiar sound of tellers and cutlery picked up and put down again - all with weak Italian music plays in the background. the ambiente was a tasteful hauch of seafoam blue on the wooden wall panels and equipped with sturdy furniture with red chili oils, salt and peppers and various types of fresh crimp on each table. a table can have salvia, another basilikum, the next coriander. a charming, subtler node to the l 'arte d 'arrangiarsi the art of making something from nothing of pizza. the menu was easy and easy to navigate, nothing to slandered level and nothing too adventurous. we ordered a pesto pizza and we asked for extra tomato sauce to which our server would be happy insured. after many times we came to our table customers and sleeps! the pesto had a tasteful taste and was pleasant tangy, the tomato sauce was juicy and not quite watery, and the mozzarella was evenly distributed and reached every end of the teigs. the best part, however, was the thick, soft resistance of the crust - not even the least incineration, but just at the right time pulled out of that. a 1 x 1 ' ft perfectly presented pizza. the, with two fizzy drinks, for less than 20 £. will return for the same, but with the intention to add a little red wine."
