Had to abort our much anticipated meal as they were terribly short staffed. Half hour after our entree and our main had not even been cooked. We checked because we witnessed 5 different guests approach staff to enquire about when their meals would be ready...one table was waiting more than an hour. I must say though in spite of this our waiter was so pleasant an apologetic...he alone earned them 2 stars. What food we did receive was not worth the wait..sorry.

We recently had our 'day 2 ' wedding celebrations at The Frozen Mop. We used the Hideout which accommodated all of our hugover guests perfectly and had a fantastic sandwich buffet. Heather was on hand prior to the event via email and on the day which was great thank you! They were able to accommodate some tricky dietary requests and also open an hour early for us. It was a really lovely day and thank you so much for being so flexible! The space itself is super and we would definitely recommend it for larger parties. Voir le carte

The Sunday roast at this restaurant was absolutely delightful, ranking among the top three I have ever had. The starters were excellent, and the interior of the restaurant was well designed. They offer a good selection of wines and beers. Unfortunately, the service was very poor and disorganised, with the exception of one waiter who was visiting from The Ship at Styal. Most of the staff seemed clueless. The price per person is between £50-60. I would give the food a rating of 5, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 5. I highly recommend trying their Sunday lunch.

Visited here for first time 22nd August. Went for a light lunch with a friend, first time visit for me and I was very happy with the whole experience. Parking was plentiful and the dining room was set out in a way that you don’t feel packed in like sardines. Had the fish finger on a bun which was delicious, juicy fish, light crispy batter cooked to perfection. Ordered chunky chips rather than fries and was delighted they were home cooked proper chips, not frozen rubbish. The gentleman who served us couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back again.

I visited the frozen mop with my family, 4 adults and 2 children. Lovely day so we sat outside Ordered all the meals , had to repeat the order several times , the two gentleman seemed confused After 30 minutes we asked where the food was , to be told it was been prepped. 10 minutes later it arrived and two meals were missing. The gentleman told me I hadn’t ordered the two missing meals , 100% I did as I had to repeat it twice . One of the meals missing was the little one , so we ended up splitting up the meals as she was hungry. 30-40 minutes later the meal arrived for my daughter. No apologies We then quizzed the bill .
