"I had a wonderful Sunday dinner! The soup was delicious and served hot. The beef was cooked exactly to my liking, and the roast potatoes were perfectly crispy. Absolutely delicious! The staff were warm and friendly, making for a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place for a Sunday lunch!"

"I planned my trip to dartmoor to visit this pub. I went years ago and thought it was great. I waited with my dog and partner in the car for it to reopen at 6. Went in and was welcomed, they gave the dog some water. They took drinks orders. Soon after the lady owner started shouting at me saying to keep my dog in one area. He was on a lead so i said where would to like him to go? She continued shouting and saying she had people over for dinner and the dog is making the floor dirty. He is a medium sized cockerpoo and the floor is dark stone so we were confused as to why the dog wasn't welcome. She said we can go if we want which made us feel like we ought to. She continued shouting about the trouble we caused for making the floor dirty and wasting our drinks. We didn't say anything back to her yelling and she gave us no choice but to leave. I checked ahead and they say dogs are welcome. It was all a but bizarre and very disappointing."

"This is without a doubt one of the best restaurant I’ve ever visited, let alone Italian restaurants. The fish pasta was incredible, the fish was so tender it fell apart when eating it and the flavours were salivating. And I’m not sure what their house red is, but it’s very good quality for a house. As a little plus, the service was spot on. 10/10. Can’t recommend enough."

"I used to have great things to say about this restaurant, but unfortunately, it has declined in quality over the past year. There doesn't seem to be any management in control, only young staff who lack customer service training and seem indifferent. I ordered a medium-well fillet steak, but it arrived very rare. After a long wait, a staff member took it back, leaving the pepper sauce to go cold. When it was returned to me, I was told it was only the end piece that was rare, but the rest was fine. This was not the case. No one came to check on us during the meal. Eventually, a waitress cleared our plates and asked if everything was alright. I showed her my still rare steak and expressed my dissatisfaction. She did deduct it from the bill, but the overall experience was disappointing due to the poor food, terrible service, and lack of care from the staff. Lately, we have noticed a decline in service on our past visits - no table check-ins, no offers for more drinks, and a general lack of interest from the staff. Kyle used to be in charge and was always on top of things, as were the more experienced waitresses. Bring them back!"

"Visit with friends once a week for the fantastic Pensioners Lunch time Meals. Lovely selection but you can also have full menu if you would prefer. You will never get better value for money food cooked excellently. I would thoroughly recommend, you will not be disappointed. Advisable to book your table before going to the restaurant as it can get very busy and you might have to wait for a table."
