"we have a table for the holiday booked Monday, first pub I have ever entered, and there were two lines of people who are silent for drinks, so no good start! waited for 20 minutes until we were shown on our table and said waitress would be over to order drinks, waited 25 minutes and not wait waitress and no drink order! we were then told about the nice family on the table next to us that they were short workers, the menu was limited, as sold out allies and they had waited 2 and half an hour for their main course! so that we went and went elsewhere, like a few other tables, had been in this restaurant at numerous places and left very happy, but not this time, my advice will tell their customers, their short staff and the waiting time for eating and that the menu was limited not only sitting and forgetting them about them, never again in a bank holiday!"

Sat outside by the river. The restaurant operates a nonsmoking policy on the terrace and the staff were great about enforcing it. As always tasty food and great service.

Despite a booking several weeks before there was no reserved or laid table for the group when we arrived. Service was by bar orders and the delay in response to the order was considerable.

Was a very enjoyable evening food very well cooked and presented. Could have done with a little garnish on the pate and maybe a little more bread or toast. The prices are a little expensive owing to the fact that it is only a pub.

My wife and her friends went out for a meal here together. They all came back providing positive reviews. The food was nice and reasonably priced. Also there is an extensive selection of drinks available. The location is quiet and beautiful.

We had very nice belated Birthday meal for four. We booked on-line and were seated at a window table with views of the weir which was nice. It was busy and we were advised of the expected wait but time was not an issue so it was fine. All our food was very good and the wines too. Would recommend to others.

We dine there with friends quite often. There is always a pleasant atmosphere, the food is good and the service is very friendly. It would be great if the menu was changed more frequently. Rachel serves us more often than the other staff she remembers what we drink and quickly confirms that it is the usual round before taking our food order.

Not impressed with having to initially pay parking. Understand it is returned and taken off the final bill, but if you have to go out and extend your stay, your food could be brought to your table and it would end up cold. You also have to break off a conversation which does not help the ambience. It would make me think twice about returning Thanks Jacki Paton
